LB Reuben Foster (ankle, ribs) was limited in practice and he is questionable. RB Matt Breida (knee), OT Trent Brown (concussion), LB Brock Coyle (shoulder), LB Elvis Dumervil (non-injury related), OG Brandon Fusco (biceps) and S Eric Reid (knee) practiced in full and were removed from the injury report.
| Footballguys view: Foster may try to give it a go again this week, but he hasn't been the same since an early season ankle injury. Thomas, Lynch, and Williams are also significant losses on defense, and Staley is the cornerstone of the line. The 49ers are already among the worst teams in the league and they will be shorthanded against the Cardinals this week. |

| Footballguys view: Thomas and Foster are keys to rebuilding this defense, but it looks like both will be out or at least affected by their injuries this week against Arizona. Adrian Peterson has some usefulness in a week that has six teams on bye. |
