Free-agent WR Corey Coleman (Giants) was signed to the practice squad of the New York Giants Tuesday, Oct. 27. LB Trent Harris was signed to the active roster from the practice squad. Free-agent DB Montre Hartage (Giants) and TE Rysen John (Giants) were also signed to the practice squad. C Javon Patterson had his practice squad contract terminated.
Footballguys view: Coleman has talent but injuries and inconsistencies have caused him to fail as a pro. He's back with the Giants and may actually work his way up to the active roster. |

Free-agent WR Corey Coleman (Giants) agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the New York Giants Monday, March 23, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Coleman suffered a torn ACL last July with the Giants and missed the entire 2019 season. He's staying with the team and Fantasy GMs need to know that he was working as a No.3 receiver at points during OTAs and minicamp last year. We'll see if Coleman can stay healthy and earn a spot on the 53-man roster. |

Free-agent WR Corey Coleman (Giants) will likely be given another opportunity to make an NFL roster, according to an NFC personnel scout. 'I would be very surprised if he doesn't get that opportunity,' the scout said. 'But, he is running out of time. This might be the last chance.'
Footballguys view: Coleman signed a one-year contract with the Giants last year but tore his ACL early in training camp and missed the 2019 season. We'll see if another team wants to take a chance on the former first-round pick. No matter where he goes, we're not expecting him to be much of a fantasy factor. |

Free-agent WR T.J. Jones (Lions) signed with the New York Giants Saturday, July 27. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The team also placed WR Corey Coleman (knee) on the Reserve/Injured list and waived PK Joey Slye.
Footballguys view: Jones can play in the slot while Golden Tate is suspended if his appeal is unsuccessful, and he can fill in outside, but lacks the speed Coleman brought to the table. |

New York Giants WR Corey Coleman (knee) suffered a torn ACL in practice Thursday, July 25, the team announced Friday, July 26. He will likely be lost for the entire 2019 season.
Footballguys view: Darius Slayton is battling a hamstring injury, but the rookie has a good chance to be the #3 receiver and deep threat if he can get over it. Coleman had gotten some traction on the Giants roster, but will have to go back to square one. |

New York Giants restricted free-agent WR Corey Coleman signed his one-year tender offer Monday, April 15. He is scheduled to make $2.025 million in 2019.
Footballguys view: Coleman was a first-round pick for the Browns in the 2016 NFL draft, and he's struggled with consistency as a receiver. Last year in eight games for the Giants, Coleman had just five catches for 71 yards. He did make some plays as a returner and that might be his best role going forward. |

New York Giants WR Corey Coleman will be given every opportunity to be the No. 3 receiver in 2019, in the opinion of Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.
Footballguys view: Coleman could line up outside opposite of Sterling Shepard in 2019. The Giants will feature Shepard outside and Golden Tate in the slot. Add in tight end Evan Engram and running back Saquon Barkley, you can see how Coleman is fifth in the pecking order of targets...if he wins the starting job. |

Free-agent WR Corey Coleman (Patriots) signed with the New York Giants' practice squad Thursday, Oct. 18.
Footballguys view: The Giants wide receiver group is very thin after losing Cody Latimer, so we may see Coleman by the end of the year. He's worth monitoring in deep dynasty leagues. |

Free-agent WR Corey Coleman (Patriots) worked out for the New York Giants Wednesday, Oct. 17.
Footballguys view: Coleman has been making the rounds this week. He's already been on a few different teams in 2018 and we're not expecting much from him even if he does get another shot. |

The New England Patriots released WR Corey Coleman from their practice squad Saturday, Sept. 29, according to a source.
Footballguys view: That didn't last long...just like most every stop Coleman has had this year. The Browns traded him to the Bills, then they promptly cut him. The Patriots took a flier on his physical talent but they must not have liked something. A 2016 first-round pick, Coleman may find a new team...but we're not expecting much...even in super deep dynasty. |

Free-agent WR Corey Coleman (Patriots) was re-signed to the New England Patriots' practice squad Wednesday, Sept. 19, according to sources.
Footballguys view: The 2016 first-round pick of the Browns as released when the Patriots traded the Browns for Josh Gordon. Now Coleman is back with the Pats, so his dynasty stock is still alive. |

New England Patriots WR Corey Coleman was released Monday, Sept. 17, to make room for WR Josh Gordon, according to a source.
Footballguys view: Coleman didn't make it a week with his new team. A 2016 first-round pick of the Browns, Coleman has now been on three teams in the span of a couple of months. Coleman is now looking for a new home and should get a shot with some team...we'll see if he can hang onto the roster this time around. |

The New England Patriots have declared OG Brian Schwenke, CB JC Jackson, OT Marcus Cannon, CB Keion Crossen, WR Corey Coleman, DE Derek Rivers and RB Kenjon Barner inactive for Week 2.

Free-agent WR Corey Coleman (Browns) will sign with the New England Patriots Tuesday, Sept. 11. Terms weren't disclosed.
Footballguys view: Coleman, a first-round pick in 2016, was traded from the Browns to the Bills earlier this year. He didn't make the 53-man roster with the Bills and found himself on the open market. The Patriots have a thin group of wide receivers and Coleman will get a chance to turn things around. In deep dynasty leagues we'll take a chance on him again if the price is cheap. |

Free-agent WR Corey Coleman (Bills) worked out for the Arizona Cardinals Friday, Sept. 7, according to a source.
Footballguys view: Coleman could get signed after veteran contract become non-guaranteed after Week 1. The Cardinals could have Coleman push JJ Nelson for the deep ball specialist role. |

The Buffalo Bills released WR Corey Coleman Saturday, Sept. 1, according to a source.
Footballguys view: The Bills just traded for Coleman back in August. A first-round pick out of Baylor in the 2016 NFL draft, Coleman was upset with his role with the Browns and a fresh start with the Bills didn't help him. If unclaimed through waiver, the Bills will have to pay the rest of his $3.5 million salary. |

Buffalo Bills WR Corey Coleman is not a lock to make the 53-man roster, according to WKBW's Joe Buscaglia.
Footballguys view: Coleman only garnered a seventh-round pick in return, so there's no strong commitment there. If he can't make the Bills roster with their league worst wide receiver depth chart, it will be time to wonder just why teams are giving up on him even though he has played well at times in limited action. |

Buffalo Bills WR Corey Coleman made his team debut in the preseason game Friday, Aug. 17 against the Cleveland Browns, his former team.
Footballguys view: He played with the second team offense and secured one pass for seven yards. Reports have indicated Coleman has struggled with the Bills playbook, but he hasn't been with the team that long and should be a lock for the 53-man roster. We're not looking to many players in the Bills passing game, especially a career underachiever like Coleman, to have much fantasy value in 2018. |

Buffalo Bills WR Corey Coleman received some snaps with the first-team offense during practice Sunday, Aug. 12.
Footballguys view: Coleman makes sense as the outside starter opposite Kelvin Benjamin, if only by default. He might be able to harness the deep arm of Josh Allen if the rookie ends up starting for the Bills. |

Buffalo Bills WR Zay Jones and WR Corey Coleman will not play in the first preseason game Thursday, Aug. 9.
Footballguys view: Coleman probably hasn't had enough time to absorb the playbook and Jones is still recovering from offseason surgery. We are excited about Coleman, though less than we would on a pass happy offense versus this ground and pound one. |

Buffalo Bills WR Corey Coleman reported to the team Tuesday, Aug. 7, and passed his physical.
Footballguys view: Injuries have disrupted Coleman's career to this point. A first-round pick in the 2016 NFL draft, Coleman was known as an explosive player who could thrive near the red zone or on deep passes. He's played in 19-of-32 possible games in two seasons with the Browns. They gave up on him and dealt him to the Bills for a seventh-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft. Coleman is going to try and resurrect his career in one of the league's worst passing games. Fantasy GMs shouldn't be expecting much from any of the Bills receivers. |

Updating previous reports, Buffalo Bills WR Corey Coleman was acquired from the Cleveland Browns in exchange for a seventh-round pick in 2020.
Footballguys view: That's not much to give up for a first rounder from just two years ago. Coleman was a top pick in 2016 but injuries and inconsistencies have plagued his pro career. We'll see what he does with a new start in Buffalo. |
Corey Coleman player page

The Cleveland Browns have agreed to trade WR Corey Coleman to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for a draft pick Sunday, Aug. 5, according to a source.
Footballguys view: This move opens the door for the Browns to add Dez Bryant. Coleman was banged up quite a bit after being selected out of Baylor as a first-round pick in the 2016 NFL draft. |

The Buffalo Bills have agreed to acquire WR Corey Coleman from the Cleveland Browns in exchange for a draft pick Sunday, Aug. 5, according to a source.
Footballguys view: A first-round pick in the 2016 NFL draft, Coleman has seen his pro career set back by injuries and inconsistencies. The Bills needed an upgrade to the WR corps and Coleman (if healthy) should start opposite Kelvin Benjamin. It moves second-year pro Zay Jones down the depth chart and takes away some projected targets for Benjamin in 2018. |

Cleveland Browns WR Corey Coleman (hamstring) is dealing with a sore hamstring and was limited in practice Saturday, Aug. 4, according to head coach Hue Jackson.
Footballguys view: The Browns have Jarvis Landry as their lead WR for 2018...and they may have Josh Gordon this year too. That doesn't leave much for Coleman when healthy. Coleman has struggled to stay healthy as a pro but nobody questions his talent when available. If Gordon does not end up reporting or playing, then Coleman could be in line for a starting job opposite Landry. |
Corey Coleman player page

Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson said he's been 'really impressed' with WR Corey Coleman, adding that he thinks Coleman's confidence is growing.
Footballguys view: Coleman has a great opportunity with Josh Gordon away from the team. He has had his share of explosive plays and games, that is when he could stay on the field. Fourth-round pick Antonio Callaway will provide competition for snaps and targets outside. Coleman opens with Pittsburgh, so if Gordon hasn't rejoined the team, he could be a hot waiver wire pickup if he goes undrafted. |
Corey Coleman player page

Cleveland Browns WR Antonio Callaway 'tore up the defensive backs in one-on-one drills' during practice Thursday, July 26, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, and Cabot believes Callaway could steal playing time from WR Corey Coleman.
Footballguys view: Coleman is first in line to start while Josh Gordon is sorting things out, but Callaway is explosive and the new regime obviously loves him. He is getting closer to the endgame redraft pick radar. |
Corey Coleman player page

Cleveland Browns WR Corey Coleman will be the starting receiver opposite WR Jarvis Landry as long as WR Josh Gordon is unavailable, according to head coach Hue Jackson.
Footballguys view: That move makes sense, but keep an eye on this Dez Bryant speculation. The Browns have looked into adding him according to GM John Dorsey, and they could use him with Gordon out and Ricardo Louis out for the year due to injury. They are now thinner at the WR position than anybody expected a week or so ago. |
Corey Coleman player page

Cleveland Browns WR Corey Coleman 'work ethic and football intelligence' continue to be questioned by the coaching staff, according to Scott Petrak of the Chronicle-Telegram.
Footballguys view: A first-round pick out of Baylor in the 2016 NFL draft, Coleman is in a make-or-break year for the Browns. He's caught 56 passes in two years, but only in 19 games as injuries have knocked him out of action plenty of times. Coleman could be traded but with $6.8 million in dead money this year that could be a deterrent for any prospective team...and it might be too rich for the Browns to just flat out release him. |
Corey Coleman player page

Cleveland Browns WR Corey Coleman is entering a make-or-break season and has been working hard during offseason workouts, according to offensive coordinator Todd Haley. Coleman has been lined up as an outside receiver when the team is in three-receiver sets.
Footballguys view: Coleman ha missed a bunch of games and now that the team has brought in Jarvis Landry and reinstated Josh Gordon, he's got more competition than ever. He's got a lot of talent but can he stay on the field? We're dubious and while we like the guy, his ADP of 76th receiver off the board seems dead on. |
Corey Coleman player page

Cleveland Browns WR Corey Coleman could be traded if the Browns were to receive a 'decent offer,' according to The Cleveland Plain-Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot.
Footballguys view: The buzz about Coleman perhaps being on the trade block has been around seemingly most of this offseason, so this report should not come as any surprise. The Browns added Jarvis Landry via trade and he should be their top target. Behind Landry, we should see Josh Gordon produce as the no.2 wide receiver. A first-round pick in 2016 out of Baylor, Coleman has done little to impress as injuries and inconsistencies have held him back as a pro. |
Corey Coleman player page

Cleveland Browns WR Corey Coleman did not appear to be on the trading block during the 2018 NFL Draft, according to sources.
Footballguys view: The Browns can't depend on Josh Gordon and rookie Anthonio Calloway has his own off-field issues, so that's no surprise. Jarvis Landry can't do it all himself, so the Browns could use a guy like Coleman to come through at the WR position. Coleman is getting overlooked by fantasy GMs and shouldn't be. He's one of those WRs you can take a last-round flier on based on his current ADP. |
Corey Coleman player page

Cleveland Browns WR Corey Coleman faces an 'uncertain future' with the team after a second straight season of 'unmet expectations,' according to ESPN Cleveland's Tony Grossi.
Footballguys view: A first-round pick in the 2016 NFL draft, Coleman has only played in 19 games over two seasons. The QB play with the Browns doesn't help, but Coleman has not been consistent when he's on the field. Cleveland has his rights three more years if they want, but there's already speculation that they could put him on the trade block. |

Cleveland Browns QB DeShone Kizer completed 16-of-30 passes for 314 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the Week 17 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and he rushed six times for a team-high 61 yards. RB Isaiah Crowell finished up with 15 carries and just 21 yards. RB Duke Johnson ran six times for 20 yards and a touchdown, while adding six receptions for 75 yards. WR Josh Gordon was good for four receptions and 115 yards on seven targets, while WR Rashard Higgins shook free for two scores, finishing with three grabs and 68 yards. TE David Njoku ended his season with two grabs and 38 yards, while WR Corey Coleman managed just one grab for 18 yards.
