Denver Broncos WR River Cracraft's chances of earning a spot on the 53-man roster have improved following the retirement of WR Aaron Burbridge, according to Benjamin Allbright of 104.7 FM Denver.
| Footballguys view: Cracraft is just a slot receiver and he's going to face a long climb to make the 53-man roster. He's No. 6 on the depth chart at best right now. Cracraft is going to have to stand out as a return man if he wants to make the team...and we don't think the Broncos are going to carry six receivers in 2019. |

| Footballguys view: Burbridge was just trying to stick on the practice squad with the Broncos. A sixth-round pick out of Michigan State in 2016, Burbridge spent three seasons with the 49ers. The Broncos signed him to a futures deal back in January. They'll move forward with Juwaan Winfree, the rookie from Colorado, as their No. 5 wide receiver on the roster. |

The Denver Broncos signed WR Aaron Burbridge to a Reserve/Futures deal Thursday, Jan. 24. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
| Footballguys view: Burbridge was a sixth-round pick of the 2016 NFL draft by the 49ers when he came out of Michigan State. He's been mostly injured ever since then. Burbridge is not a dynamic athlete and had some problems with drops way back in his college days. |

| Footballguys view: Burbridge was a sixth-round pick out of Michigan State for the 49ers in the 2016 NFL draft. Measuring in at 6'1" 208 pounds, Burbridge's measurables don't jump off the page and that's why he's had trouble sticking in the NFL. He has been held back by injuries as well and the 49ers just released him with an injury settlement a little over a month ago. Now he's back and trying to continue proving himself. |

| Footballguys view: A sixth-round pick out of Michigan State in 2016, Burbridge caught seven passes for 88 yards as a rookie. He missed all of last year but is still a wideout worth monitoring in super deep dynasty leagues. Burbridge has nuance as a route runner and he tracks the ball well over his shoulder. He lacks the elite athleticism to be a deep threat but could work underneath as a slot receiver in the pros. |

Staley did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 23, while the other three players were limited during practice. DT DeForest Buckner (hip), WR Aaron Burbridge (hamstring), DT Quinton Dial (elbow), RB Shaun Draughn (ribs) and LB Eli Harold (toe) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

| Footballguys view: Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee also touted Ellington's potential break out season. Of course, we've no idea what this offense will really look like and the quarterback situation is still not set either. So breakout, in this case, really might just be WR6 production. Keep in mind though, with Torrey Smith as the main receiver and working out of the slot, Ellington has real upside. |
