Panthers | Carolina has disastrous season finale    Sun Jan 3, 07:24 PM

Carolina Panthers QB Teddy Bridgewater completed 13-of-23 passes for 176 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions, while replacement QB P.J. Walker ended with three interceptions. RB Rodney Smith led the team with 40 rushing yards and a score, while WR Curtis Samuel finished with seven grabs for a career-best 118 yards. WR D.J. Moore also hit the century mark with 101 receiving yards on 11 targets, while WR Robby Anderson ended up with three catches and 40 yards. SS Tre Boston led the defense with 10 total stops, a sack, a tackle for loss and a quarterback hit.

Footballguys view: Bridgewater hurt his foot in the game, but it's still clear that he's not the long term answer for the Panthers at quarterback. The Panthers pick 7th or 8th and should be in the market for a quarterback. Samuel had a big second half and should have teams lining up to sign him in free agency.

Panthers | Eight more receptions for Robby Anderson    Sun Dec 13, 05:51 PM

Carolina Panthers WR Robby Anderson went for eight receptions, 84 yards and 12 targets in Week 14 against the Denver Broncos.

Footballguys view: Anderson has been a PPR machine this year, meshing well with Teddy Bridgewater's penchant for the short passing game. He'll be a safe WR3/Flex against the Packers, but DJ Moore could return to lower his ceiling.

Panthers | Seven receptions for Robby Anderson    Sun Nov 22, 05:28 PM

Carolina Panthers WR Robby Anderson caught seven passes for 46 yards against the Detroit Lions in Week 11. He was targeted nine times during the game.

Footballguys view: Anderson was still a viable PPR play as PJ Walker showed he can keep the whole passing playbook active while Teddy Bridgewater sat in Week 11. He's a solid play next week against the Vikings even if Bridgewater can't go.

Panthers | Robby Anderson makes four grabs    Sun Nov 15, 06:05 PM

Carolina Panthers WR Robby Anderson registered four receptions for 21 yards on six targets in Week 10 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Footballguys view: Anderson had his first real letdown game in PPR leagues as the Bucs defense clamped down in the second half. If Teddy Bridgewater is out for any period of time, Anderson becomes emergency depth.

Panthers | Robby Anderson leads team in receptions    Fri Oct 30, 02:19 AM

Carolina Panthers WR Robby Anderson caught five passes for 48 yards against the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday, Oct. 29. Anderson was targeted eight times.

Footballguys view: Anderson has been putting up more floor games than ceiling games in fantasy leagues lately, but that floor is solid in PPR leagues as Anderson has reinvented himself as a reliable short range receiver under his college coach Matt Rhule. He'll should be in lineups against the Chiefs next week.

Panthers | Robby Anderson hits triple digits again    Sun Sep 20, 06:43 PM

Carolina Panthers WR Robby Anderson registered nine grabs for 109 yards and 10 targets in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Footballguys view: Anderson's Week 1 production wasn't a mirage. He looks like a co-primary target with DJ Moore and may end up being one of the best values in fantasy drafts this year. He'll face a strong Chargers defense next week.

Panthers | Robby Anderson a true vertical receiver    Sun Jun 21, 07:08 PM

Carolina Panthers WR Robby Anderson has been targeted 20 yards or more downfield 31 percent of the time in his career - tied for the second-highest mark in the league since 2015.

Footballguys view: Anderson is taking his talents to Carolina this season where he'll continue to be a deep threat. He's got to build chemistry with QB Teddy Bridgewater and we believe they will do just that. His college coach at Temple, Matt Rhule, is the new head coach of the Panthers and that should give Anderson a head start. Anderson has deep flex appeal for Fantasy GMs this year and could easily outperform his current ADP of WR67 (14.12) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Panthers | QB signing lured Robby Anderson     Fri Apr 3, 01:35 PM

Carolina Panthers WR Robby Anderson said Friday, April 3, that the Panthers' signing of QB Teddy Bridgewater, a close friend, was the 'icing on the cake' that convinced him to sign with Carolina.

Footballguys view: Anderson also worked under new Panthers head coach Matt Rhule when he was in college at Temple. He'll be the No.1 receiver for the Panthers and has the speed to take the top off the defense.

Panthers | Carolina officially adds Robby Anderson    Wed Apr 1, 06:11 PM

Updating a previous report, free-agent WR Robby Anderson (Panthers) officially signed with the Carolina Panthers Wednesday, April 1. Official terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Footballguys view: Anderson worked in college at Temple under new Panthers head coach (and former Temple/Baylor head coach) Matt Rhule. He will be the primary deep threat for the Panthers offense, and Anderson should be a favorite target of new Panthers starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. He's got WR2 upside for Fantasy GMs in 2020.

Free-agent WR Robby Anderson (Jets) is signing a two-year deal worth $20 million with the Carolina Panthers Tuesday, March 24, according to a source.

Footballguys view: The Panthers add more speed to the WR position with this move. Anderson was on the open market a bit longer than we thought he would be. We'll see how he meshes with new Panthers QB Teddy Bridgewater. Anderson will earn $12 million in the first year of the deal.

New York Jets impending free-agent WR Robby Anderson remains in the team's offseason plans, as the Jets are making efforts to re-sign him, according to a source Thursday, March 5.

Footballguys view: Anderson is going to make a lot of money if he hits the open market. In fact, he could get a deal near $15 million in annual average salary. We'll see if the Jets get enough of an offer to convince Anderson to stick around.

Jets | NYJ to make push to bring back Robby Anderson    Wed Feb 26, 11:40 PM

Impending free-agent WR Robby Anderson (Jets) may end up signing a contract that pays him up to $15 million per season based on market trends and the number of expected bidders, according to Pro Football Network's Tony Pauline. However, the New York Jets are still expected to make a push to keep him from going elsewhere, per Pauline.

Footballguys view: The Jets have around $49 million in cap space at this time, so they've got the money to keep Anderson if they want him. If not, Anderson is going to get paid because of his speed and skill set but also because the free agent market at wide receiver is not great. Assuming A.J. Green stays with the Bengals and Amari Cooper stays with the Cowboys, it's easy to argue Anderson as the top receiver headed to the open market.

Jets | Big money for Robby Anderson?    Thu Feb 20, 10:38 PM

New York Jets impending free-agent Robby Anderson's next contract is likely to come in north of $10 million, according to an AFC personnel evaluator. 'It's real simple,' the evaluator said. 'He's fast and has size. Any team that wants speed at receiver will pay him well.'

Footballguys view: Anderson might be the highest-paid free agent receiver this offseason...depending on what happens with Bengals WR A.J. Green. We could see him get $10-12 million annually on his new deal. Anderson is arguably the best speed receiver in free agency and is looking to cash in.

Jets | Breshad Perriman an option for NYJ?    Sat Feb 15, 09:44 PM

Tampa Bay Buccaneers impending free-agent WR Breshad Perriman could be a target for the New York Jets if WR Robby Anderson doesn't return in 2020, according to Connor Hughes of The Athletic.

Footballguys view: Perriman is arguably the second-best speed wide receiver in free agency behind Anderson. We think Anderson is going to get paid big money by his new team, so the Jets will be looking for a speed asset. Perriman was a first-round bust with the Ravens, but he was able to stay healthy and thrive for the Bucs late last season when both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin were banged up.

Jets | Robby Anderson miscast with Jets?    Thu Feb 13, 12:32 PM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson, a pending free agent this offseason, ranks fourth in the league with 112 targets of 20-plus yards since 2016, but the Jets' quarterbacks have been unable to take advantage of that with a 28.3 percent accuracy rate on such passes during that time span, ranking 31st in the league.

Footballguys view: Anderson is likely to get a huge-money contract in free agency this year. If the Bengals wrap up A.J. Green, Anderson is arguably the best wide receiver available on the open market. Watch out for the Panthers to show interest in Anderson. New Panthers head coach Matt Rhule was Temple's head coach when Anderson was in college. Anderson's deep speed would be a welcome addition for many teams in the league, but the Panthers may be his landing spot.

Raiders | Oakland an option for Robby Anderson?    Sun Feb 2, 12:30 PM

New York Jets impending free-agent WR Robby Anderson may receive interest from the Oakland Raiders this offseason, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Rich Cimini.

Footballguys view: Anderson is going to get paid this offseason. He's arguably the best wide receiver to hit free agency in 2020 and his speed will be coveted by many a team in the NFL.

Jets | Robby Anderson wanted back    Thu Jan 30, 06:21 PM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson said Thursday, Jan. 30, the team has expressed interest in him returning for the 2020 season.

Footballguys view: Anderson is actually one of the better wide receivers set to hit free agency this offseason. His speed is going to be coveted by teams out there including the Jets.

Jets | Robby Anderson may test market    Mon Dec 30, 05:03 PM

New York Jets impending free-agent WR Robby Anderson said he does not see a reason to re-sign with the Jets before the start of free agency because he wants to check on his value in the free-agent market.

Footballguys view: Anderson could get a hefty payday on the open market. There's not a great group of free agent wide receivers this year and Anderson's skill set (speed, speed and more speed) could draw quite the price tag.

Jets | Week 17 final stats for Jets    Sun Dec 29, 04:42 PM

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold completed 23-of-36 passes for 199 yards, one touchdowns and one interception in Week 17 against the Buffalo Bills. RB Le'Veon Bell rushed 16 times for a team-high 41 yards with five grabs for 36 yards on five targets, while RB Bilal Powell added seven runs for 27 yards. WR Jamison Crowder led the way with eight catches for a team-high 66 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets, while WR Robby Anderson finished his season with three grabs for 18 yards on seven targets.

Footballguys view: Bell may be one-and-done with the Jets if they can find a trade partner. Anderson is almost certain to leave in free agency, while Crowder has been a reasonable success as a late round fantasy pick with inconsistent peaks and valleys. The Jets will have a very different looking offense under Adam Gase next year.

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson will sign with the Miami Dolphins for the 2020 season because of his connection with wide receivers coach Karl Dorrell, according to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com.

Footballguys view: Anderson is going to have a big market for his services this offseason. He has the speed to take the top off the defense and could earn a contract that pays him around $10 million annually. In fact, some project that he will push for a contract around $14 million per year. Whether it's with the Dolphins or some other team, Anderson will get a big pay day in the offseason.
