USC
Quarterback - Cody Kessler has a lot of positives going for him heading into 2015 as USC will return their entire offensive line and he has plenty of talented receivers to look for down the field. Kessler turned down the NFL this year to return to USC and take a run at a National Championship and the Heisman trophy. Kessler had an excellent 2014 season passing for 3,826 yards and adding a 39/5 TD/INT rate. Kessler became the first Pac-12 QB to throw for 7 touchdowns in the first three quarters of a game against Colorado. Although maybe not the most mobile of College QB's, Kessler ran 55 times for 100 yards and added 2 touchdowns on the ground as well. Any week USC is playing, Kessler will be one of the top fantasy QB's in play on that game slate as he will be chasing the Heisman and looking to pad his resume with multi touchdown performances.
Running Back - Justin Davis was the number two RB last year behind Javorius Allen and appeared in 7 games before his season came to an end with an Achilles injury. In the 7 games before the injury he ran for 630 yards and 4 touchdowns and had 13 receptions for 92 yards and 2 more touchdowns. Davis would be the front runner at the starting RB position in Coach Steve Sarkisian's RB friendly system. Tre Madden is also a name to monitor as he missed the entire 2014 season with a turf toe injury, but before that Lane Kiffin had high praise for him calling him a no-flaws RB as he averaged 117 yards per game in 2013.
Wide Receiver - USC has produced NFL WR's Marqise Lee and Nelson Agholor over the past two seasons and now they will focus on developing both Darreus Rogers and JuJu Smith as the next set of stars at the position. JuJu has all the tools to be a special WR this year and projects to be a top 10 as far as numbers go by seasons end. He posted a 54/724/5 statline last year and Rogers put up a 21/245/4 line himself. Also don't forget to add in slot WR Steven Mitchell who will be another big target for Kessler. USC WR's will be a good place to look for fantasy on a week to week basis this year as Kessler will be slinging the ball all over the field and trying to pad his touchdown numbers.
Tight End - Jalen Cope-Fitzpatrick is the name to monitor amongst the Trojans Tight Ends but will likely be a minimum price type each week in DFS.
UCLA
Quarterback - Josh Rosen looks to replace Brett Hundley and make a run for the Bruins this season. Replacing Hundley will be no easy task and Rosen will have to prove himself right from the start. The UCLA QB situation might be one to put a hold on when choosing your QB for DFS over the first few weeks. You will want to see how he plays the first week against Virginia who is a known for a solid defense. Coaches son Jerry Neuheisel saw some fill in snaps last year when Brett Hundley had to exit a couple of games but at this point it looks like Rosen will be the QB to watch for the Bruins in 2015.
Running Back - Paul Perkins will the the focal point of UCLA's offense coming back from a season where he rushed for 1,618 yards, and 9 rushing touchdowns. Add in another 26 receptions 201 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. He will be a top RB option in DFS games as the offense should run through him week to week.
Wide Receiver - The loss of Brett Hundley will be a big one but as far as the WR position goes the Bruins will return some depth and talent with Jordan Payton Devin Fuller, Thomas Duarte, Eldridge Massington, and Mossi Johnson. Payton and Fuller are the guys that will see the higher amount of receptions as Payton had 67 and Fuller had 59 last season. It was Payton who did the most with his receptions putting up a 67/954/7 statline and had 3 different games where he had over 100 yards. Payton will be the guy you will want to look at each week as one of the higher option plays but you could also search the other WR's for value on any given week.
Tight End - With so many quality WR's on the roster the Bruins will likely forfeit the position on a weekly basis just to get more WR's on the field. The UCLA TE position is not one you want to look for.
Arizona State
Quarterback - Mike Bercovici will be the guy for the Sun Devils in 2015. He projects as a top 25 QB in the country and has certainly showed that he can produce on the field. Bercovici thrives on big games as he led the Sun Devils to wins over USC and Stanford. He also threw for 488 yards against UCLA and another 510 against USC. In limited game action Bercovici passed for 1,445 yards and 12 touchdowns. With Taylor Kelly no longer in front for Bercovici it will be him who will get to play a full 12 game season and put up some big numbers. Arizona State threw for a combined 34 touchdowns (Kelly 22, Bercovici 12) in 2014.
Running Back - DJ Foster was dominant last season at the RB position but this year he will shift back to his natural WR position on the team. It will be Demario Richard who will be the name to monitor at the RB position. In 84 attempts last season Richard averaged 5.7 yards per carry and had 4 rushing touchdowns. He also caught 13 passes for 156 yards receiving and another 4 touchdowns. Richard will be an under the radar play at RB each week in DFS and has big touchdown potential as he scored 8 last season with limited touches.
Wide Receiver - DJ Foster was electric for the Sun Devils offense last year as he rushed for 1,081 yards and 9 touchdowns and added 62 receptions for another 688 yards and 3 more touchdowns. He will be the top DFS target at the WR position week to week for Arizona State. Cameron Smith who sported a 41/596/6 statline was injured in the spring and will not be available all season. De'Chavon Hayes and Ellis Jefferson will be the two other names to keep an eye on behind Foster.
Tight End - Kody Kohl will be a minimum salary type of TE to look for in good matchups this season. He finished with 16 receptions, 167 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Oregon
Quarterback - Vernon Adams will have big shoes to fill when he takes over for Marcus Mariota this season. Adams transfers in from Eastern Washington where he threw for over 10,000 yards in 3 years at their program. He also comes with a TD:INT ratio of 110:31 and will get the starting QB nod right from game one. Adams had back to back years of being the runner up for the Walter Payton Award which is the FCS version of the Heisman. He likely won't match Mariota's numbers in his first season with the Ducks but he will be a fantasy star each and every week that he plays.
Running Back - Royce Freeman is returning and looking to add to his massive 1,365 rushing yards and 18 rushing touchdowns from a year ago. He will be a stud fantasy RB each week the Ducks play and will be among the highest priced backs on most DFS sites each week. Backup RB Thomas Tyner had season ending shoulder surgery a few weeks ago, so that leaves Taj Griffin and Kani Benoit to compete for backup carries in 2015.
Wide Receiver - Oregon's receiver position has always been one that fluctuates week to week and pinning down the go to guy each week is enough to give DFSers a headache. At the top of the list would be Byron Marshall who can do work on the ground and through the air as he carries his 2014 statline of 74/1003/6 into the 2015 season. Behind Marshall there is Dwayne Stanford (43/639/6), Devon Allen (41/684/7) who are returned and can be home run threats any week they play but picking that exact week can also become a headache rather quickly. Bralon Addison will also be back in the discussion as he will be back from an ACL injury he suffered last April.
Tight End - Pharaoh Brown suffered a gruesome injury last season and will likely miss this season, leaving Evan Baylis as option at the TE position. Baylis posted a 15/143/1 statline last year and should only be considered when you are punting the TE position.
Arizona
Quarterback - Anu Solomon became an instant star at the QB position for the Wildcats as threw for nearly 3,800 yards and finished the season with 28 passing touchdowns. Solomon will be at the top of the QB pricing most weeks in DFS leagues and will likely be one of the safer options if you are willing to spend up at the QB position.
Running Back - Nick Wilson brings back his big play and touchdown ability as he showed he can do it all for the Wildcats. After rushing for 1,393 yards and 16 touchdowns he will give the Wildcats offense a great balance of run and pass and should keep defenses on their toes as they won't be able to focus on just stopping one of the threats on offense.
Wide Receiver - Arizona has some talent at the WR position with Cayleb Jones breaking out last year (73/1019/9), and Samajie Grant (45/718/6) being a very reliable second option in the passing game. Nate Phillips and Trey Griffey also return but they are much deeper plays at the position compared to Jones and Grant.
Tight End - The Wildcats do not value the TE position and there is no one worth your time for DFS purposes.
Utah
Quarterback - There is much debate in the State of Utah if Travis Wilson can be the guy to continue to help Kyle Whittingham's team break through the Pac-12 Conference. Wilson battled back last season from what looked to be a career threatening injury and led the Utes to a solid 9-4 season. Although the team was reliant on their top Defense and their power running game led by RB Devontae Booker, Wilson still had to make plays when it mattered. Wilson had 5 touchdown passes against Fresno last year and also had the game winning touchdown pass with 8-seconds left in the game against USC. Wilson finished 2014 with 2,170 passing yards and 18 touchdowns and will be asked to do a little more in 2015. Kendal Thompson will be the backup QB and offers a bonus with his running ability as he showed in Utah's win over UCLA last year.
Running Back - When you think of an individual that means the most for his team, the first name that you have to think of is Devontae Booker. The Utes rely on him so often and in return Booker usually rewards them with big plays that help them control the clock and move the chains. Booker finished 2014 with a remarkable 292 carries for 1,512 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns. He also caught 43 passes for 306 yards and 2 more touchdowns. Utah's offensive MVP will continue to see a high volume of carries (22.5 carries a game in 2014) and receptions (3.3 receptions per game). Getting 25+ touches a game from your RB is huge for fantasy as more touches equal even more fantasy points.
Wide Receiver - Utah lost both Dres Anderson and Kaelin Clay to the NFL but all is not lost as big target Kenneth Scott will return for his senior season looking to finally be the guy at WR for the Utes. Scott is a big target down the field and finished 2014 with 48/506/4 statline. It could be possible that those numbers could double as he will be forced to be the guy to make the plays down the field. Tim Patrick will start opposite of Scott but he is safe to take the wait and see approach with and not worth risking just yet to put in your DFS lineups. Bubba Poole is another name to keep an eye on as he has been getting touted as the Utes slot receiver and could see an uptick in receptions.
Tight End - Westlee Tonga is no longer an option as he graduated and now the Utes have little depth and experience at the TE position. Siale Fakailoatonga looks to be the starter heading into the season.
Stanford
Quarterback - Kevin Hogan comes back for his senior season and looks to improve on his 2,792 passing yards and 19 passing touchdowns (also added 5 more on the ground). Hogan is a well-rounded QB but his downfall for fantasy purposes is that he plays for a team much like Utah would rather rely on their defense and play a good all-around game not being afraid to grind it out. You want to be looking for more of a gunslinger mentality when spending on your QB and Hogan is a play that is just too safe and offers little upside week to week.
Running Back - Christian McCaffrey will get the early nod as the starting tailback for the Cardinals. He averaged 7.1 yards per carry last season while only rushing 42 times. He will be a wait and see type of play at the RB position but one that might come at a cheap price and could be worth a gamble in a GPP early on before others catch on to his name. He also has a great catching ability out of the backfield where he posted a 17/251/2 statline a year ago. Remound Wright will also return but he offers less upside than an athletic McCaffrey. Wright did rush for 601 yards and 11 touchdowns last year and will likely get the goal line work with his big stout 5'9" 204 lb frame.
Wide Receiver - Devon Cajuste showed glimpses of greatness last season and will the team's top WR option in 2015. Posting a 34/557/6 statline and developing some chemistry with Hogan. Michael Rector is also a deeper name to keep an eye on for down the road.
Tight End - Austin Hooper was second on the team in receptions last year with 40 and he will continue to be a big option down the field for QB Kevin Hogan. Hooper is one of the safer options as far as CFB TE's go and he can be trusted a handful of catches a game. Eric Cotton will also be in the mix at TE for the Cardinals and he had 7 receptions for 128 yards and a touchdown last season.
California
Quarterback - Jared Goff was one of the lone bright spots for the Golden Bears in 2014. He burst onto the scene with 3,973 passing yards and 35 touchdown passes. He knows how to find the endzone and that is the key in fantasy, you want players that give you touchdown predictability. Goff also has the underdog theme going for him as California are going to be playing from behind a lot and Goff will have plenty of opportunities to try to play catch up and sling the ball down the field. Those are the type of situations that all fantasy owners are looking for.
Running Back - Just like Jared Goff at QB, Deniel Lasco was a welcomed surprise for the Golden Bears. He played hard no matter the score in the game and finished the season with 1,115 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. He also added a 33/356/2 statline as a receiver out of the backfield. Lasco is a top 20 fantasy RB in the country and should be on your list of potential plays most weekends.
Wide Receiver - Kenny Lawler is an underrated player at the WR position and is coming off an impressive season posting nice numbers of 54/701/9. Stephen Anderson (46/661/5), Bryce Treggs (52/583/6) will also be names to consider with Goff throwing them the ball.
Tight End - No names to monitor as Cal does not use this position much for receiving options.
Washington
Quarterback - Cyler Miles looks to have taken a leave of absence this season for the Huskies so it will be Junior QB Jeff Lindquist getting the start. It is probably safe to take a wait and see approach with Lindquist at this point and see how things shake out at the QB position in Washington.
Running Back - Dwayne Washington is a big back and can rumble his way into the end zone. The only problem is that the offense is trying to find its identity at the QB position and getting down into scoring position might be a concern for the Huskies. Washington did finish last season with 697 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns.
Wide Receiver - Jaydon Mickens is the name you want to know out of WR options for the Huskies. He is returning for his senior season after putting up an impressive 60/617/4 statline last year and added 103 rushing yards and 2 additional touchdowns on the ground. John Ross and Dante Pettis are two other depth WR's to know their names but that might be all you would want with plenty of other WR options available on a weekly basis. Ross has some speed and is known for making the big play with the deep touchdown and also returns kicks which he scored 2 return touchdowns last season.
Tight End - Joshua Perkins returns for his final season after posting solid 25/315/3 numbers last year. The TE position is always a tricky one to nail down in DFS and Perkins can at least give you some positive numbers each week.
Washington State
Quarterback - The Pac-12 as a whole feels like it is loaded at the QB position and then you get to the likes of the Cougars who just lost Connor Halliday. Now in comes Luke Falk who Coach Mike Leach calls one of the calmest QBs he's ever coached. He had some big games last year filling in for Halliday and Washington State looks to continue their arial attack heading into 2015. If you can find Falk on the cheap he might be worth the play as he will be looking to thrown often.
Running Back - There is no RB to target in the Cougars offense as both Jamal Morrow and Gerard Wicks return but they return with very little upside as the team solely relies on throwing the ball.
Wide Receiver - River Cracraft, Dom Williams, and Gabe Marks will all return as great options for this high volume passing attack. Cracraft is coming off of an impressive 66/771/8 season and Williams 43/656/9 season. Marks missed last season but will look to fill the void of Vince Mayle leaving for the NFL.
Tight End - Washington State relies on a variety of WR's in their passing game and no TE is a legitimate option to score any fantasy points.
Oregon State
Quarterback - The loss of Sean Mannion will surely effect the Beavers offense in 2015. Seth Collins looks to get the starting nod at QB for the Beavers when they open up the 2015 season. It is a wait and see approach for DFS but probably one that can be avoided all together.
Running Back - Storm Woods is the name you want to know from the Beavers RB core. He returns for his senior season after rushing for 766 yards and 5 touchdowns a season ago. He had a nice 6.3 yards per carry and also added 26/179/1 as a receiver out of the backfield.
Wide Receiver - Victor Bolden (72/798/2) saw the most volume as a WR last season followed by Jordan Villamin (35/578/6) and are likely the two WR's you are going to want to look for if you are ever targeting the Beavers passing game.
Tight End - Caleb Smith will be the starting TE and returns for his senior season after posting a respectable 20/202/1 line from last season.
Colorado
Quarterback - The Buffaloes might not be the best team in the Pac-12 but they do have a passing game that likes to sling the ball down the field. Sefo Liufau returns after a strong season where he threw for 3,200 yards and 28 touchdowns. He will continue to be zeroing in on his #1 target Nelson Spruce this season and will be in consideration as a starting QB depending on his weekly price.
Running Back - Christian Powell is the starting RB for the Buffaloes but will likely not factor much into the fantasy game as the Buffaloes will likely run more of a running back by committee with Michael Adkins and Phillip Lindsay also seeing similar amounts of carries.
Wide Receiver - For only winning 2 games last year the Buffaloes had a positive in Nelson Spruce's fine 106/1198/12 season. He is a fantasy beast each week and has to be considered if you have the cash to pay up for him. He would be a bigger asset to own on Draftkings as he gets a large amount of receptions each week and always has the opportunity to give you the 100 yard bonus. Spruce is one of the elite WR's in all of College Football and if you want to own him you will have to pay up for him. Shay Fields is the other guy in Colorado and is coming off a year where he posted 50/486/4.
Tight End - Sean Irwin (7/67/1 in 2014) starts at TE but is not even worth a punt selection at the position.
