The Chiefs-Ravens is on paper as the highest total of Week 3. But what game has your eye with sneaky shootout potential among the rest of the slate? Could the Eagles-Lions or Giants-Buccaneers light it up? What about the Panthers-Cardinals? What stack are you leaning towards in your sneaky shootout?

Panthers at Cardinals had the look of a potential shootout but Cam Newton's injury status puts the kibosh on that one. Similarly, it's hard to picture fireworks in Giants at Tampa Bay with Daniel Jones making his first NFL start on the road against an improved Buccanneers defense.
I'm not sure how sneaky it will be, but I like both offenses in Texans at Chargers to bounce back from brutal Week 2 performances. It's not too difficult to shape a GPP lineup around a core game stack of Deshaun Watson, DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller, Austin Ekeler and Keenan Allen.

The Bengals-Bills matchup has some sneaky shootout potential. It is hard to understate just how bad the Bengals defense looked last week against the 49ers. They allowed 259 rushing yards and 313 passing yards and put up almost no resistance in the rout. Meanwhile, the passing offense continues to put up pretty good numbers. Andy Dalton is second in the NFL in passing yards, behind only Patrick Mahomes II. If the Bengals struggle again defensively and fall behind, Dalton could again rack up some yardage in catch-up mode.

I don’t know about sneaky considering the Eagles/Lions tilt has an over/under of 46.5 points, but it’s certainly one that could turn into a high-scoring showdown. Both teams are top-three in the number of plays run and top-12 in passing attempts (with the Eagles sitting sixth overall). Detroit may try to slow this game down by running the ball, but they were forced away from that in Week 1 despite having a great rushing matchup. The Eagles have allowed only 82 rushing yards to running backs and zero rushing or receiving touchdowns. Conversely, they’ve allowed the second-most passing yards while the Lions have allowed the eighth-most. I think this game gets decide through the air and easily blows past the rather conservative over/under. It’s a good one to stack a quarterback with one or two of his pass-catchers.

I'm wary of the Panthers/Cardinals slate because Cam Newton is questionable after re-injuring his foot. The Eagles/Lions could be a shootout. Philadelphia's secondary looks awful after two weeks and the Lions look a lot better offensively than we feared; credit a healthy Matthew Stafford. The fun thing about that matchup is Philadelphia's injuries make a normally distributed offense easier to forecast; Zach Ertz and Nelson Agholor should be targeted 8-10 times each, so pair them with Carson Wentz.

I like the Giants and Bucs game stack this week with Winston, Evans, Godwin and Barkley and Engram on the other side. Both of these teams have not looked good through two weeks but we almost know where the targets are going in the offense so it feels safe to target any of the five players I mentioned. Sure the Giants side is somewhat risky with a rookie quarterback seeing his first game action but both Barkley and Engram are very good safety nets and should see a lot of targets.
