HIT YOUR DEADLINES
Whether it's claiming players on the waiver wire, making a trade, or inserting someone into the starting lineup, everything has a deadline in fantasy football. Knowing your players' schedules is paramount to ensure you don't get stuck with a big fat zero in your starting lineup because you didn't realize your injured receiver was out and his game started on a Thursday night.
Make note of your roster's schedule every week, taking particular notice to players who play on Thursday or may be out because of a bye week. Make sure you submit any waiver claims before waivers are run, usually on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings. Most leagues have trade deadlines that fall on a date during the regular season sometime in November. After that, no trades are allowed, so be mindful of that as well.
