As the summer rolls on, there will be a number of players who move up and down the ADP list. This movement can be caused by a variety of factors -- injuries, news, etc. This article will highlight some of the players who have seen significant movement over the last week and place them into one of three categories.
- Players on the Rise
- Players on the Decline
- Players of Note
Players on the Rise
These players have moved up the ADP list in the last week. And there's a pretty good reason for that.
WR Tyreek Hill, Kansas City -- up 13 spots to 18 overall
Still feeling the juice from the news of Hill getting a suspension. This rise might be over, though, as there are heavy hitters up top.
RB Devonta Freeman, Atlanta -- up 4 spots to 33 overall
By all accounts, Freeman looks like he's fully healthy and has returned to form.
RB Kerryon Johnson, Detroit -- up 3 spots to 36 overall
Johnson hasn't done anything to warrant a bump, but the Lions did release Theo Riddick. He'll probably get more of an increase in our next update.
WR Emmanuel Sanders, Denver -- up 12 spots to 107 overall
Nothing but great news coming in on Sanders' return from injury.
RB Damien Harris, New England -- up 27 spots to 122 overall
This is largely due to Sony Michel starting camp on the PUP list. And that caused everyone to realize that Harris' ADP was far too low.
WR Parris Campbell, Indianapolis -- up 17 spots to 149 overall
We've been waiting for someone to take the WR2 spot in Indianapolis, and all of the news lately is pointing to Campbell being that guy. People are noticing.
RB Kalen Ballage, Miami -- up 23 spots to 153 overall
Apparently, all it takes to move up a couple of rounds of ADP is to take first-team reps in Miami.
RB Justin Jackson, LA Chargers -- up 23 spots to 184 overall
Or maybe it just takes a Melvin Gordon holdout.
Players on the Decline
These players have moved down the ADP list in the last week. And there's a pretty good reason for that.
RB Melvin Gordon, LA Chargers -- down 4 spots to 13 overall
The holdout is still on, and it doesn't look like the end is near.
WR A.J. Green, Cincinnati -- down 2 spots to 37 overall
The news of Green's ankle injury just hit. The bottom will drop out of this number in next week's update.
RB Derrick Henry, Tennessee -- down 4 spots to 38 overall
Back in the day, the general public didn't hear about every little injury. We do now, and Henry's lower-leg injury is enough to push him down a bit.
RB Kenyan Drake, Miami -- down 7 spots to 57 overall
Drake was pretty tightly bunched with other backs and receivers. The news of Kalen Ballage getting first-team reps caused a big drop for Drake.
WR Sammy Watkins, Kansas City -- down 9 spots to 77 overall
Watkins is still in free-fall after the Tyreek Hill news. It feels like it should end soon.
WR Devin Funchess, Indianapolis -- down 11 spots to 155 overall
Parris Campbell's good news is hurting Funchess. With so much good receiver talent on the Colts roster, it will be easy to get lost.
WR Mecole Hardman, Kansas City -- down 17 spots to 172 overall
Hardman still hasn't found the bottom. He's looking like a guy who won't be drafted in most leagues.
Players of Note
These players have moved up or down. But there probably isn't a good reason for that.
RB Mark Ingram, Baltimore -- up 4 spots to 44 overall
Not much Ingram news at all -- which can be a good thing. Ingram's movement is probably due to other players shuffling around.
RB James White, New England -- up 4 spots to 52 overall
As with Ingram, White's bump up is due to others moving down.
RB Miles Sanders, Philadelphia -- down 5 spots to 84 overall
It's so interesting to see this decline just before hearing the first great camp reports for Sanders. This will likely be corrected next week.
WR Christian Kirk, Arizona -- down 14 spots to 96 overall
Baffling move. Not any bad news or vibes around Kirk at all.
WR Curtis Samuel, Carolina -- down 12 spots to 125 overall
No reason for this and the few bits of news we hear about Samuel from Carolina have been good.
WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Green Bay -- down 10 spots to 130 overall
Valdes-Scantling's ADP is still experiencing its correction. It started far too low, and then people might have said, "Oh, that's a bit too high."
WR D.K. Metcalf, Seattle -- down 14 spots to 132 overall
Sure, Jaron Brown has gotten some good pub, but so has Metcalf.
RB Matt Breida, San Francisco -- down 13 spots to 156 overall
We haven't heard much about Breida -- nor any other back in San Francisco.
RB Chris Thompson, Washington -- down 19 spots to 160 overall
It's not so much that Thompson is falling, it's just that most of the players around him are slightly more appealing.
WR A.J. Brown, Tennessee -- up 58 spots to 186 overall
This is a crazy bump for a rookie who wasn't getting a ton of news. This rise might be short-lived if Brown doesn't get back on the practice field soon.
