Staff Confidence Pool (No Spread) Week 11

Weekly Staff Confidence Pool (No Spread). NFL Office Pool Cheat Sheet

Looking to dominate your office pool this season? Fifteen Footballguys.com staff members are here to help you out. Each week they will pick the winners of every NFL game, and rank their selections based on how confident they are that the team will win. The most-confident pick gets 16 points, and the least-confident gets just 1. We'll even total up everyone's picks so you can get an overall consensus on who our staff think will be the most likely winners. Each week we'll announce the weekly winners, and track the overall record for the entire season. A couple of things to note before we get to the picks:

  • Picks for this pool are straight up (no point spread considered).
  • Picks are due on Wednesday nights, and will not reflect any late-breaking news. If your league allows for last minute changes, please make adjustments to your office pool accordingly.
  • Our staffers also play in weekly picks Against The Spread, and Survivor Style 'Pick one Winner each week' formats as well. Check out the other weekly articles for more help with those type of games.

RESULTS FROM LAST WEEK

The strategy pays off! Each week Mark Wimer bucks the trend - making the calls that no one else has the guts to make. This week it paid off, and Wimer crushed the rest of the field, missing only four games and turning in an impressive 89-point performance. Even losing the Sunday and Monday night games wasn't enough to give up the top spot. Wimer's early performance carried him through to victory!

Lots of big upsets this week. Buffalo, Tennessee, Cleveland, Dallas and the New York football Giants all pulls off upsets against heavily favored opponents and brought the overall totals on the board down for the week.

OVERALL RANKINGS

Pasquino's 74 point performance moved him up 4 places on the overall leaderboard, but the rest of the field remained essentially the same. Larkin and Brimacombe are still the teams to beat.

HEAVY FAVORITES

A bit of a paradox this week as there are a lot of heavy favorites, but a lot of mixed results as well. The Cardinals, Saints, and Chargers are the only unanimous choices as winners this week, but Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Baltimore, and Carolina are also strong favorites to win their respective games.

DUAL SUPPORT

There are some really close games this week as well. Minnesota and Chicago are tied with only 35 confidence points each. That may be the first time that's happened since we started this contest several years ago. Tonight's contest between Green Bay and Seattle is pretty close, as is the Tennessee at Indianapolis game. The Giants are a strong favorite over Tampa Bay, but the contest itself has the lowest total confidence points this week with just 57. Monday's Kansas City - L.A. Rams game should be a shoot-out and has the field split almost evenly as well.

ODDS AND ENDS

Six teams on a bye again this week, so the maximum total points this week are just 91. If your office pool offers a tie-breaker option based on the Monday Night total points scored, you may want to go extra heavy this week. The Over/Under is well over 60 and should finish as the highest MNF in NFL history.

Good luck this weekend!
