Beyond the Stats Week 7

Each week I uncover some interesting stats, tidbits and information that you may not know.

DID YOU KNOW?

Six teams are averaging less than 200 yards passing per game: MIA, BAL, BUF, JAC, CHI, OAK. All three have a team QB rating below 90, except Buffalo (90.6)

Getting it done on 4th Down - Jacksonville and Tennessee are perfect on converting 4th down attempts this year. JAC is 4-for-4, TEN is 1-for-1.

Not getting it done on 4th Down - Minnesota is 0-for-5 on 4th down attempts this year. Denver and Detroit are both 0-for-4.

Three teams are converting 3rd Downs at 45% or higher. Philadelphia 51%, Atlanta 46%, Carolina 45%. Combined record is 12-5

Jay Ajayi alert - Miami is the only team to not score a rushing touchdown this season.

Breaking off long runs - Jacksonville and Kansas City each have three runs of 40 yards or more. Chicago, NY Jets and Tennessee are the only other teams with more than one run of 40 yards. 14 teams don't have any.

Interesting stat - Melvin Gordon III has more receiving touchdowns (4) than rushing touchdowns (3).

Interesting stat II - Christian McCaffrey and Andre Ellington are the only running backs to have 10+ targets in a game twice.
