All data is from the past four seasons

(Thursday) HOUSTON TEXANS AT DETROIT LIONS

Both teams have won once in their limited two game history. QB Matt Schaub threw for 267 yards and 2 touchdowns, both to TE Owen Daniels in leading the Texans to a 28 to 21 victory. WR Andre Johnson chipped in with 11 receptions for 141 yards. For the Lions, WR Calvin Johnson caught only 2 passes but gained 154 yards and scored a long 96-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to make the game interesting.

(Thursday) WASHINGTON REDSKINS AT DALLAS COWBOYS

  • The Cowboys are 13-2 at home against the Redskins since the 1996 season (15 games).
  • The Cowboys have won three of the last four games in the series but all four games decided by three or fewer points.
  • REDSKINS

    Quarterbacks

  • Rex Grossman started the last two games and had two decent games. He threw for 572 total yards with 5 touchdowns against 3 interceptions. He was the 2nd best weekly quarterback in the 2010 game when the Cowboys sneaked out a 33-30 victory.
  • In 2008 and 2009, Jason Campbell took the snaps and threw for 487 yards and 2 touchdowns.
  • Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

  • Redskins have no rushing touchdowns in the four games. Both RB Tim Hightower and RB Ryan Torain caught touchdown passes though (2011 and 2010).
  • RB Clinton Portis had the only 100-yard rushing game in this study (121 yards in 2008).
  • WR Santana Moss had two good fantasy games in 2008 and 2010. He caught 8 passes for 72 yards and 2 touchdowns in 2010 and 8 passes for 145 yards in 2008. In his other two games Moss caught 10 total passes for 108 yards for a total of 26 receptions over four games.
  • TE Chris Cooley caught a touchdown pass in 2010.
  • WR Antwaan Randle El and WR James Thrash caught the other touchdowns.
  • COWBOYS

    Quarterbacks

  • Jon Kitna got the start in 2010 and threw for 305 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
  • Tony Romo's only good game came in 2008 when he threw for 300 yards and 3 touchdowns in a narrow 26 to 24 defeat.
  • In his other two games, Romo threw for only 413 total yards and 1 touchdown.
  • Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

  • The only running back touchdown came from Tashard Choice in 2010.
  • RB Felix Jones rushed for 115 yards on just 14 carries last year. He had 70 yards on just 12 carries in 2010.
  • RB Marion Barber had a 99-yard rushing effort in 2009 on 20 carries.
  • WR Miles Austin missed the game last year. In previous three games he caught only 10 total passes for 130 yards but did score twice (2008, 2010).
  • WR Dez Bryant only played in 2011 game. He caught 4 passes for 63 yards.
  • TE Jason Witten had a huge 2010 game with 10 receptions for 140 yards and a touchdown. He also caught 7 passes for 90 yards and a score in the 2008 game. In his other two games, he caught 11 total passes for 103 yards. His 28 receptions over four games led the team by a huge margin.
  • Receivers Terrell Owens and Patrick Crayton caught the other touchdown receptions.
  • (Thursday) NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS AT NEW YORK JETS

    Both teams won twice over the past four years and all four games were decided by 7+ points.

    PATRIOTS

    Quarterbacks

  • Tom Brady is only 1-2 against the Jets in this span. He had one great game which came last year. He threw for 329 yards and 3 touchdowns in an easy 37 to 16 smashing of the Jets.
  • In the other two games, Brady threw for only 464 total yards and 2 total touchdowns.
  • Matt Cassel started in 2008 but threw for only 165 yards and no touchdowns in a quiet 19 to 10 victory.
  • Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

  • There were no running back performances worth mentioning in these four games. Only touchdown was scored by Sammy Morris in 2008 but he had exactly zero rushing yards.
  • TE Rob Gronkowski had a huge game last year, catching 8 passes for 113 yards last year and scoring twice. He caught just 1 pass in 2010.
  • TE Aaron Hernandez caught 6 passes for 101 yards in 2010 but just 4 passes for 41 yards last year.
  • WR Wes Welker missed the 2009 game. In other three games he was pretty quiet with 19 receptions for 156 total yards and 1 touchdown.
  • WR Julian Edelman had a good 2009 game with 8 receptions for 98 yards.
  • WR Randy Moss and WR Deion Branch caught the other touchdowns.
  • JETS

    Quarterbacks

  • Mark Sanchez started each of the past three games. In 2009, he threw for 163 yards and a touchdown in a 16 to 9 victory. In 2010, Sanchez 220 yards and 3 touchdowns in an impressive 28 to 14 victory. Last year, he managed to throw for 306 yards but tossed 2 interceptions against 1 touchdown.
  • Brett Favre had 181 yards and a touchdown in 2008.
  • Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

  • No Jets running back gained more than 76 yards or scored a touchdown. RB Shonn Greene had 28 total carries for 113 yards.
  • TE Dustin Keller had a great 2010 game, catching 7 passes for 115 yards and scoring. He also had a touchdown in 2009. He was quiet in his other two games.
  • WR Santonio Holmes had 6 receptions for 93 yards last year.
  • Receivers Plaxico Burress, Jerricho Cotchery, Braylon Edwards and Chansi Stuckey all had a receiving touchdown.
  • MINNESOTA VIKINGS AT CHICAGO BEARS

    The Vikings only have one win in Chicago since the 2000 season (1-10 record).

    VIKINGS

    Quarterbacks

  • Last season, Christian Ponder completed just 9 of 17 passes for 99 yards and in interception. Donovan McNabb completed 19 of 24 passes for 177 yards in same game but Vikings were crushed 39 to 10.
  • In 2010, Brett Favre disappointed with only 170 passing yards and 3 interceptions against 1 touchdown. He had a good 2009 game with 321 passing yards and 2 touchdowns.
  • In 2008, Gus Frerotte threw for 298 yards and 2 touchdowns but had 4 interceptions.
  • Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

  • RB Adrian Peterson had two big games in 2008 and 2009. He had 46 total carries for 215 yards and 4 rushing touchdowns.
  • Peterson's last two games in Chicago were quiet. He had just 29 total carries for 90 yards and a touchdown.
  • RB Chester Taylor scored a touchdown in 2008.
  • WR Percy Harvin caught 7 passes for 78 yards last year. He scored a touchdown in 2010 game with 4 receptions for 64 yards.
  • TE Visanthe Shiancoe caught 4+ passes in each game and caught a touchdown in 2008 and 2009.
  • WR Bernard Berrian and WR Sidney Rice caught the other touchdowns.
  • No receiver had 82+ receiving yards.
  • BEARS

    Quarterbacks

  • Jay Cutler has been top-12 in all three of his games. He threw for a combined 777 yards with 9 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
  • Kyle Orton was just as effective in 2008 with 283 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
  • Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

  • RB Matt Forte had 286 total rushing yards and a touchdown and caught 10 passes in the four games.
  • Forte had a low of 56 rushing yards and a high of 87 rushing yards.
  • RB Marion Barber had a rushing touchdown last year.
  • WR Devin Hester had a good game last year with 5 receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown. He also caught a touchdown in 2010.
  • The tight end position caught 5 total touchdowns (3-Greg Olsen, 1-Desmond Clark and 1-Kellen Davis) and Bears' tight ends finished as a weekly top-12 tight end six times in the four games.
  • OAKLAND RAIDERS AT CINCINNATI BENGALS

    The Raiders have only played in Cincinnati once since the 1995 season, a 27 to 10 loss in 2006. The Bengals had 439 total yards of offense to the Raiders 223 total yards.

    PITTSBURGH STEELERS AT CLEVELAND BROWNS

    The Steelers are 13-2 in the last fifteen games in Cleveland but one of the losses came in 2009.

    STEELERS

    Quarterbacks

  • Ben Roethlisberger's only good fantasy game came in 2010 when he threw for 280 yards and 2 scores.
  • In other three games, Roethlisberger threw for a combined 608 yards and just 1 touchdown.
  • The Steelers threw no interceptions in the four games.
  • Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

  • RB Rashard Mendenhall had a pair of touchdowns in 2010 but had three pedestrian rushing efforts in his games. He had 38 total carries for 127 yards.
  • RB Isaac Redman had a good game last year with 92 rushing yards on 19 carries and scored a touchdown.
  • RB Willie Parker had 105 rushing yard game in 2008.
  • WR Mike Wallace had only 11 receiving yards in both the 2009 and 2011 games. In 2010, he caught only 3 passes but gained 105 yards and scored a touchdown.
  • WR Hines Ward had a touchdown in both the 2008 and 2010 games.
  • WR Antonio Brown had 6 receptions for 90 yards last year and 4 receptions for 52 yards in 2010.
  • TE Heath Miller caught a touchdown in 2010 but was quiet in other three games.
  • BROWNS

    Quarterbacks

  • Four different Quarterbacks started all four games and none had success. The Browns passed for a total of 642 yards with 1 touchdown against 6 interceptions.
  • Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

  • The only running back effort worth a mention is Chris Jennings in 2009 with 73 rushing yards and a touchdown. No other running back had more than 38 yards.
  • WR Josh Cribbs caught 7 passes for 91 yards last year.
  • WR Brian Robiskie caught the only touchdown.
  • BUFFALO BILLS AT INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

    The last game between these teams in Indianapolis was a 17-16 win by the Colts in 2006. QB Peyton Manning threw for 236 yards and a touchdown pass to WR Reggie Wayne in the victory.

    DENVER BRONCOS AT KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

  • Both teams have won twice since 2008.
  • Chiefs have scored 13 or fewer points in three of the four games.
  • BRONCOS

    Quarterbacks

  • Denver Quarterbacks threw for 180 or fewer yards in three of the four games. Only Jay Cutler in 2008 eclipsed that with a huge 360 yard performance in 2008. The other three games saw 366 total passing yards.
  • The Broncos threw only 4 touchdown passes in these four games and 3 interceptions.
  • Tim Tebow had a rushing touchdown last year.
  • Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

  • The Broncos have run wild over the Chiefs in the four games with running backs gaining 671 total yards. However the running backs had just 2 rushing touchdowns.
  • Last year, RB Lance Ball had 96 rushing yards on 30 carries.
  • Knowshon Moreno had two good games in 2009 and 2010. He had 44 total carries for 247 yards and 2 touchdowns. He only had 4 carries last year but gained 52 yards.
  • In 2009, Correll Buckhalter had 113 rushing yards on only 12 carries.
  • Willis McGahee had just 4 carries for 17 yards last year.
  • WR Eric Decker caught just 1 pass last year but it was a 56-yard touchdown.
  • WR Brandon Stokley caught 7 passes for 80 yards in 2008 game.
  • WR Brandon Marshall had big 2008 and 2009 games with 14 total receptions for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns.
  • CHIEFS

    Quarterbacks

  • The Chiefs do not have 200 passing yards in any of the four games.
  • Matt Cassel has only thrown for 373 total yards and 2 touchdowns in his three games.
  • Chiefs have only 3 total passing touchdowns.
  • Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

  • RB Jamaal Charles missed last year's game. In 2010 he gained 116 yards on 21 carries. He only gained 56 yards on 18 carries in 2009 but did score a touchdown.
  • RB Jackie Battle gained 61 yards on 9 carries last year.
  • In 2008, RB Larry Johnson erupted for 198 rushing yards on 21 carries and scored twice.
  • No wide receivers caught a touchdown pass in the four games.
  • WR Dwayne Bowe had just 2 receptions for 17 yards last year after missing the 2009 and 2010 games. He caught 7 passes for 85 yards in 2008 game.
  • TE Tony Gonzalez caught a touchdown in 2008.
  • SEATTLE SEAHAWKS AT MIAMI DOLPHINS

    The Dolphins defeated the Seahawks 21 to 19 back in 2008 thanks to a 105-yard rushing effort and a touchdown from Ricky Williams as well as a rushing touchdown from Ronnie Brown. Chad Pennington threw a touchdown pass to WR Ted Ginn Jr. The Seahawks got a touchdown from WR Koren Robinson and a defensive score in the game.

    ATLANTA FALCONS AT TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

    Both teams won twice in Tampa Bay since 2008 with the Buccaneers outscoring the Falcons 74 to 60.

    FALCONS

    Quarterbacks

  • Matt Ryan took every snap but did not have a top-ten weekly result. He threw for a combined 916 yards with 5 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.
  • Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

  • RB Michael Turner missed the 2009 game. In his absence, RB Jason Snelling rushed for 147 yards on 25 carries in a Falcons victory. He failed to score though.
  • In his three games, Turner rushed for only 150 yards on 49 total carries. He scored in the 2010 game.
  • WR Roddy White had four solid games but his best game came last year with 9 receptions for 140 yards. In his other three games he caught 17 total passes for 199 yards and scored his only touchdown in 2009 game.
  • WR Julio Jones caught 6 passes for 115 yards last year.
  • TE Tony Gonzalez had three quiet games but did score last year (just 8 total receptions).
  • BUCCANEERS

    Quarterbacks

  • The Buccaneers failed to throw for more than 181 yards in any of the games.
  • In his three games, Josh Freeman threw for 535 yards and 2 touchdowns against 5 interceptions.
  • Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

  • RB LeGarrette Blount had two good games in 2010 and 2011. He had 44 total carries for 184 total yards and scored.
  • Both Warrick Dunn and Ernest Graham scored in 2008 and combined for 165 rushing yards.
  • WR Mike Williams caught 5 passes for 43 yards last year and 6 receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown in 2010.
  • TE John Gilmore caught a touchdown in both 2008 and 2010.
  • TENNESSEE TITANS AT JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS

    Both teams have won twice in Jacksonville in the last four meetings. The Titans have scored 85 while the Jaguars have scored 70.

    TITANS

    Quarterbacks

  • Last year, Matt Hasselbeck threw for 263 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a narrow 16-14 defeat.
  • The Titans had at least 2 touchdown passes in three games and had one in all four games.
  • Kerry Collins took the majority of the snaps in other three games (Vince Young had some limited touches in 2010). Collins threw for 624 yards with 5 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
  • Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

  • RB Chris Johnson's only great game came in 2010 when he rushed for 111 yards and scored a touchdown. In the other three games he only rushed for 171 total yards and failed to score.
  • No other running back scored a touchdown.
  • WR Kenny Britt had a great game last year with 5 receptions for 136 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also had a 105-yard receiving effort in 2009 and scored a touchdown in the 2010 game.
  • Last year, WR Nate Washington caught 6 passes for 67 yards. In 2009 he caught 7 passes for 66 yards and a score.
  • TE Bo Scaife scored a touchdown in 2010.
  • JAGUARS

    PASSING

  • The only passing touchdowns came in the 2009 game when David Garrard threw for 323 yards and 3 touchdowns. In the other three games the Jaguars have just 499 total passing yards with no touchdowns and 4 interceptions.
  • Blaine Gabbert has not played against the Titans in Jacksonville yet in his career.
  • Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

  • RB Maurice Jones-Drew has scored four times in the four games and totaled just 234 yards on 64 rushing attempts. His best yardage came last year with a 97-yard performance.
  • TE Marcedes Lewis scored a touchdown in the 2009 game.
  • WR Mike Sims-Walker had a big 2009 game with 91 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.
  • WR Jason Hill caught 4 passes for 53 yards last year.
  • In last two games, Mike Thomas caught 16 passes but for only 143 yards.
  • BALTIMORE RAVENS AT SAN DIEGO CHARGERS

    The Ravens have played twice in San Diego since 2008. The Ravens won 31 to 26 in 2009 and lost 34 to 14 last year.

    Quarterbacks

  • Joe Flacco had two similar games for the Ravens. He threw for 226 and 190 yards and tossed 2 touchdowns in each game.
  • Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

  • RB Ray Rice was quiet in the two games with just 18 total carries for 93 yards. He did have 14 receptions for 101 yards though.
  • RB Willis McGahee had a good 2009 game with 79 rushing yards on 15 carries and 2 touchdowns.
  • WR Torrey Smith had a good game last year with 6 receptions for 77 yards and a score.
  • WR Anquan Boldin caught just 2 passes in his game last year but gained 51 yards.
  • Tight ends Todd Heap and Ed Dickson caught touchdown passes.
  • CHARGERS

    Quarterbacks

  • Philip Rivers threw for 270 yards and a touchdown last year.
  • Rivers threw for 436 yards and 2 touchdowns (and 2 interceptions) in the 2009 game.
  • Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

  • In last year's game, RB Ryan Matthews rushed for 90 yards on 26 carries and scored twice. In same game, RB Mike Tolbert also scored and finished with 40 rushing yards.
  • The Chargers struggled to rush the ball in 2009 game with only 45 rushing yards but RB Darren Sproles caught 7 passes for 124 yards and scored.
  • WR Malcom Floyd caught 5 passes for 96 yards and scored last year. He caught just one pass in 2009 game but it went for 45 yards.
  • TE Antonio Gates had 7 receptions for 109 yards in his two games.
  • WR Vincent Jackson had great 2009 game with 6 receptions for 141 yards and a score.
  • ST. LOUIS RAMS AT ARIZONA CARDINALS

    The Cardinals have won three of the last four in Arizona outscoring the Rams 90 to 52.

    RAMS

    Quarterbacks

  • Sam Bradford took every snap in last two games, threw for 442 total yards but failed to toss a touchdown pass and was picked off twice.
  • The Rams had just 2 total passing touchdowns in the four games.
  • Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

  • RB Steven Jackson had 100+ rushing yards in each of the last two games and gained 64 yards in 2008 game. He scored a touchdown in 2010 game and a receiving touchdown in 2008 game.
  • In 2009, Ken Darby and Chris Ogbonnaya combined for 85 rushing yards.
  • WR Brandon Gibson caught the only touchdown pass by a receiver (2009).
  • The best receiving yardage mark in the four games came last year when WR Brandon Lloyd gained 80 yards on 5 receptions.
  • CARDINALS

    Quarterbacks

  • Last year, John Skelton passed for 222 yards and a touchdown.
  • In 2010, two Quarterbacks combined for a miserable 138 yards on 10-26 passing in a 19-6 loss.
  • Kurt Warner started in 2008 and 2009. He combined for 592 passing yards and 3 total touchdowns.
  • Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

  • RB Chris Wells had a decent 2009 game with 68 rushing yards and a score. He did nothing in his other two games.
  • RB Tim Hightower had a rushing touchdown in the 2008 and 2009 games and had a high of 81 rushing yards in the 2010 game.
  • WR Larry Fitzgerald caught a touchdown in three of the four games and had a total of 19 receptions for 225 yards and 3 scores.
  • The only 100-yard receiving game came from WR Anquan Boldin in 2009 (116 yards).
  • WR Early Doucet caught a touchdown in 2009.
  • Last year, WR Andre Roberts caught 5 passes for 55 yards.
  • SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS AT NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

    The 49ers last played in New Orleans during the 2008 season and lost 31 to 17. QB Drew Brees passed for 363 yards and 3 touchdowns (all in the second quarter) in leading the Saints to victory. WR Lance Moore caught 7 passes for 101 yards and scored twice for the Saints. WR Marques Colston did not play in the game as both Devery Henderson and Robert Meachem had big play receptions in the game. The 49ers were led by QB J.T. O'Sullivan who threw for 257 yards and a touchdown to WR Isaac Bruce. RB Frank Gore gained 82 yards on 16 carries in the loss.

    GREEN BAY PACKERS AT NEW YORK GIANTS

    In the only meeting in New York since 2008, the Packers won a thriller against the Giants last season 38 to 35. QB Aaron Rodgers threw for 369 yards and 4 touchdowns in the game, 2 of them to veteran WR Donald Driver. WR Greg Jennings caught 7 passes for 94 yards and a score while fellow receiver Jordy Nelson caught 4 passes for 94 yards (but failed to score. TE Jermichael Finley also had a big game with 87 yards and a score as Rodgers spread the ball around. For the Giants, QB Eli Manning had a great game with 347 yards and 3 touchdowns including 2 to WR Hakeem Nicks who finished with 7 receptions for 88 yards. Not to be outshined, WR Victor Cruz also did well, catching 7 passes for 119 yards. RB Brandon Jacobs had a touchdown run and combined with RB Ahmad Bradshaw to rush for 97 yards on 19 carries.

    (Monday) CAROLINA PANTHERS AT PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

    The Panthers have not played in Philadelphia since the 2006 season, a close 27 to 24 loss. The Panthers are 0-3 in the regular season in Philadelphia but did win a playoff game there during the 2004 season. In the 2006 game, RB DeAngelo Williams rushed for 74 yards on 17 carries and caught 7 passes for 101 yards and scored. WR Steve Smith caught 4 passes for 54 yards and scored. The Eagles got a big game from veteran QB Jeff Garcia who threw for 312 yards and 3 touchdowns.
