Week 8: at Dallas Cowboys
Mark and Joe say: Tough matchup. Washington's offense is in waiting mode for the return of Robert Griffin III now that Kirk Cousins' turnover woes have sent him to the bench. For this game, we'll likely see Colt McCoy under center down in Texas (where have I heard that before?), which means that the Cowboys will load up the box to stuff Alfred Morris and Roy Helu, while daring McCoy to beat them throwing the football. Morris (115/440/3 rushing with 5/39/0 receiving) has been steady-but-unspectacular as the two-down back this season (23rd fantasy running back in the land), while Helu checks in at 31st with 25/134/1 rushing and 20/249/0 receiving to date as the third-down/change of pace option. There is no reason to see either guy breaking out in Dallas on Monday Night Football given the transitioning nature of the Washington offense right now. The Cowboys' rush D is currently 16th in the NFL averaging 113.4 yards given up per contest, with four rushing TDs allowed to date. They gave up 26/104/0 to the Giants last week, and 18/80/1 at Seattle two games back. Of late, the Dallas D is slightly more stout than their middling average indicates. This is a tough matchup for the Washington backs due to the turmoil in the other phase of the offense and Dallas' probable response to seeing McCoy under center.

2014 Week 5 vs SEA (0 / 0 / 0 rush, 0 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Darrel Young's flukish streak of touchdowns to start the year has come to an end. The solid FB was used solely as a lead blocker, but was unable to break open any holes for the running game.
2014 Week 7 vs TEN (1 / 14 / 0 rush, 1 / 1 / 10 / 0 rec)
Darrel Young continues to have a small but consistent role in the Washington offense, carrying the ball once for a nice 14 yard gain (and almost fumbling the ball away). He was also targeted once, catching the pass for 10 yards.
