Recent Game Summaries

2019 Week 13 vs ARI (19 / 13 / 172 / 0 rec - 23.7 points, $7100)

Woods saw an unreal 19 targets in the Rams' blowout win over Arizona. Woods had more than half of his receptions in the first quarter alone with several screen passes littered throughout his performance. Woods was notably stuffed on two third-down screens, including one in the red zone and later for a big loss off a tipped pass. Beyond the quick game, Woods added a high point reception and a diving catch amidst his career day. Quizzically, Woods has yet to find the end zone through the air this season despite a quality 64-835 stat line and pushing for a 1,000-yard campaign.

2019 Week 12 vs BAL (9 / 6 / 97 / 0 rec - 12.7 points, $6600)

Woods returned to the lineup after missing Week 12 to lead the Rams in receiving in what was a lost game against red hot Ravens. Woods dominated late in the game with garbage time production, including one of the few strong plays for the Rams on offense. Woods shook free after a hitch route for more than 35 yards of yards after catch. Woods had a long touchdown opportunity, but Jared Goff overthrew Woods, which would have pushed Woods well beyond 100 yards and added a score for the game tally.

2019 Week 10 vs PIT (11 / 7 / 95 / 0 rec - 13 points, $6900)

While Woods has still not found the end zone on 45 receptions this season, he was peppered with 11 targets against the Steelers as Cooper Kupp was shut out. Woods did not get started until the second quarter, but logged three significant catches in the game. Woods controlled a deep out target to convert third-and-long but a big-time contested catch later. Finally, Woods had a sliding deep comeback reception for another highlight moment. Woods had a 20+ yard reception called back by penalty which would have pushed his game total well beyond 100 yards.

2019 Week 8 vs CIN (2 / 2 / 36 / 0 rec, 4 / 6 / 0 rush - 5.2 points, $7000)

Woods saw a mere two targets even with Brandin Cooks missing most of the game with a concussion against the Bengals. Woods caught his lone big-play opportunity, a play-action flat route for 30 yards into the open field. However, Woods was used also like a running back for a chunk of the game for the second time in three games, accruing four rushing attempts without much fanfare. Josh Reynolds benefited from Cooks' absence and Cooper Kupp logged a monster game as Woods lacked involvement.

2019 Week 7 vs ATL (7 / 5 / 80 / 0 rec, 1 / 6 / 0 rush - 11.1 points, $7300)

After a notable passing game shutout for Woods last week on four targets, Woods led the Rams in receiving (80 yards) in the blowout win over Atlanta. Woods hearty seven targets included the entire route tree from short-game yards-after-the-catch to a deep crossing route and full-extension grab down to the goal line. Woods had a diving drop for his lone missed opportunity for additional yardage in an otherwise clean performance. Woods has yet to find the end zone this season, spanning 36 receptions with the Bengals' suspect pass defense next in Week 8.

2019 Week 6 vs SF (4 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec, 2 / 16 / 1 rush - 7.6 points, $7100)

Woods quizzically did not find the box score with a reception in the loss to the 49ers. However, Woods had two rushing attempts on the opening drive of the game, including an end around red zone touchdown to cap off the lone scoring drive for the Rams. After 32 targets over the past three games, Woods saw a mere four this week and his struggles to create separation and any significant gain paralleled that of the entire Rams offense.

2019 Week 5 vs SEA (9 / 5 / 48 / 0 rec - 7.3 points, $7300)

After exploding for a monster game last week, Woods came back to reality in the road loss to Seattle despite nine targets and the team throwing 49 passes overall. Woods came close to a bigger game with a drop and a deep out in the end zone reviewed, but ultimately ruled incomplete, as a potential touchdown. Woods' successful efforts were mainly short hitch and out routes as Cooper Kupp and Gerald Everett collected the strong yards-after-catch opportunities this week.

2019 Week 4 vs TB (15 / 13 / 164 / 0 rec - 22.9 points, $7100)

Woods nearly set a new career high for receiving yards with a monster 164-yard performance against the Buccaneers. The Rams threw an unreal 68 passes in the comeback effort and Woods was unstoppable on intermediate routes. Woods' highlight catch came on a laser throw by Jared Goff on a deep out route for nearly 40 yards. Despite the 13 receptions, Woods did not sniff the end zone and remains curiously scoreless on the season despite 26 catches overall.

2019 Week 3 vs CLE (8 / 3 / 40 / 0 rec, 2 / 18 / 0 rush - 7.3 points, $7000)

Woods was active in the run game for a third straight game in addition to his hearty targets as a traditional receiver. Woods has five rushes through three games and logged 15+ yards on a reverse against the Browns. Woods had a deep comeback route of note, but mainly operated within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage. Cooper Kupp and Brandin Cooks dominated targets this week and Woods did not see any optimal looks for scoring chances or big plays.

2019 Week 2 vs NO (2 / 2 / 33 / 0 rec, 1 / 9 / 0 rush - 5.2 points, $7300)

Woods' offensive involvement shriveled against the Saints after a hearty 13 targets in Week 1. Woods took a jet sweep for a solid gain on the ground, but his looks as a receiver were minimal. Woods converted a deeper crossing route and took advantage for strong blocking on a screen pass for nearly 20 yards. Woods drew a defensive pass interference penalty and had a red zone touchdown called back by penalty.

2019 Week 1 vs CAR (13 / 8 / 70 / 0 rec, 2 / 16 / 0 rush - 12.6 points, $7000)

Woods was the central figure in the Rams passing game against Carolina, seeing a team-high 13 targets. Despite the usage, Woods was limited to short range targets outside of a wide-open opportunity downfield, which Jared Goff airmailed over Woods. The veteran receiver logged two drops to temper his overall performance, a clunky one for the Rams passing game overall. Woods added two rushing attempts, including a surprising inside run design. Woods rarely left the field with a 95% snap share as the Rams had three receives all log at least 90% of the snaps.
