From the upgrade/downgrade report (Mon Oct 15): The Bears looked lost at times when it was time to tackle Wilson, but the numbers count nonetheless. He has a low weekly floor, but a ceiling to match just about anyone at the position. Against Detroit this week, Wilson has flex potential.

Recent Game Summaries

2018 Week 5 vs CIN (6 / 5 / 43 / 0 rec - 6.8 points, $4900)

It was a tough day all around the offense this week, and Wilson ended up with a similar line to Amendola. He caught 5 of his 6 targets and helped to move the chains a few times, but he could not break free and find the end zone. His longest play of the day was a 16-yard catch and run, but aside from that he was tackled almost immediately. No Dolphin receiver was able to create separation from their man or find any soft spots in coverage this week. Wilson is getting an extended look with Davante Parker inactive again this week.

2018 Week 4 vs NE (6 / 4 / 19 / 0 rec, 1 / 2 / 0 rush - 4.1 points, $5000)

There is not a lot that went right for the Dolphins on offense and that includes Wilson. The biggest thing to note was he saw 6 targets this week and that tied Kenny Stills for the team lead. With Jakeem Grant also waiting in the wings it is tough to feel confident in either receiver. Wilson was at least given the chance to have a better game today. The Dolphins will need a receiver to step up behind Stills if they want to put forth a better showing against the Bengals next week.

2018 Week 3 vs OAK (2 / 2 / 74 / 1 rec - 20.48 points, $5000)

The entire game really comes down to 2 plays for Wilson. He had a 74-yard touchdown catch and threw a 52-yard touchdown on a trick play. His touchdown catch was the reverse play that Grant scored his 18-yard jet sweep on. Tannehill pitched the ball forward to Wilson as he came in motion and then a sea of blockers opened things up for him to go untouched into the end zone. The touchdown throw was a thing of beauty. Tannehill handed the ball off to Drake, who then pitched the ball to Wilson who had come in motion towards the line of scrimmage, Wilson continued to roll right, and found a wide-open Grant on a wheel route. There were a lot of moving parts with this play and it was almost amazing that there was no illegal motion or formation. This is not the kind of play that Miami is going to go to every week, but it is good to know they have it in their back pocket and that they can trust Wilson to throw a strike when needed.

2018 Week 2 vs NYJ (5 / 3 / 37 / 1 rec, 2 / 8 / 0 rush - 12 points, $5000)

The Dolphins do not have a great core of receivers and it seems like it could be anyone who steps up each week and makes a play. Wilson had about as much luck as any other receiver in regard to targets and receptions, but he did manage to find the end zone. Wilson ran an inside crossing route and found himself all alone when the tight end cleared out the linebackers up the seam. Wilson then simply out ran his man in coverage and down the opposite sideline for a touchdown. The safeties were occupied on the other side of the field covering the deep routes and could not get over in time to make a tackle. Wilson was not touched on the play until he crossed the goal line right at the pylon. Wilson was also given 2 carries in the running game but did not do very much with them.

Latest News

Dolphins | Albert Wilson has giant day in Week 6 (Sun Oct 14, 07:19 PM) - Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson finished with six receptions for 155 yards and two touchdowns in Week 6 against the Chicago Bears.

Our View: Wilson has had some quiet weeks, but his two big games have been about as good as any wide receiver games this season. He'll be a consideration as a flex play in any given week on the strength of these big performances.

Our View: Tannehill is expected to play, but his condition isn't likely to get better against the Bears pass rush this weekend. The Dolphins offense is flatlining right now.
