Week 12: at San Francisco 49ers
All RB vs SF
Mark and Joe say: Great matchup. Arizona destroyed San Francisco/Santa Clara back in Week Three 47-7 - and since then the offense has gotten more in sync over the season. During the first NFC West clash, Arizona posted 37/139/2 rushing - Chris Johnson led the way with 22/110/2, while David Johnson had 7/25/0 rushing and 3/16/0 receiving in a complimentary role.
Since then, Chris Johnson has gone on to rank 14th in the NFL as a fantasy back with 184/797/3 rushing and and 6/58/0 receiving to his credit, while D. Johnson has 27/118/3 rushing and 17/233/3 receiving so far this year. Andre Ellington has also mixed in with 31/223/3 rushing and 10/114/0 receiving. Last week, Chris Johnson handled 18/63/0 rushing and 1/2/0 receiving while David Johnson (2/9/0 rushing with 2/17/1 receiving) and Ellington (2/2/0 rushing with 1/5/0 receiving) both got two carries.
The 49ers, meanwhile, gave up 44/255/1 rushing to Seattle's backup Thomas Rawls and company - three weeks ago the 49ers surprised everyone by holding the Falcons to a mere 14/17/0 rushing, before their bye week - especially after 41/197/2 given up to Todd Gurley and company the game prior. Over the past four weeks (three games), San Francisco has average 26.6 fantasy points per game allowed to opposing backs, third most in the NFL.
Start Chris Johnson (and perhaps both Johnsons) if you've got him on your roster. This is a great rushing matchup for the Cardinals.
