Ravens | Several return to practice (Sat Aug 30, 01:12 PM) - Baltimore Ravens CB Jimmy Smith (chest), CB Lardarius Webb (back), CB Asa Jackson (ankle) and OT Jah Reid (concussion) are participating in practice Saturday, Aug. 30.

Our View: Getting Webb and Smith back on the practice field will help boost the defense. The Ravens open the season with divisional rival, the Cincinnati Bengals. The new Hue Jackson offense will feature the ground game, but WR A.J. Green is always tough to stop.

Ravens | Three CBs ruled out (Thu Aug 21, 03:13 PM) - Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens CBs Jimmy Smith (chest), Lardarius Webb (back) and CB Asa Jackson (ankle) will not play in the third preseason game. All three players are expected to be ready for the start of the regular season.

Our View: There's no point in forcing the players into a situation where they could aggravate an injury they are just healing from, so this is just some caution on the part of Baltimore.
