News you need to know
From the upgrade/downgrade report (Mon Nov 24): For the first time this year, Wayne looked old in Week 12. He could bounce back against Washington, and you shouldn't drop a starting WR in the Colts offense, but it might be best to bench him to make sure that this isn't a veteran wall Wayne is hitting in his return from ACL surgery last year.
General News (Tue Nov 25): is showing visible signs of a decline, in the opinion of beat writer Stephen Holder. The team tried to stretch the field with him Sunday, Nov. 23, but the ball was routinely out of his reach.

2014 Week 11 vs NE (9 / 5 / 91 / 0 rec)
The 36-year-old receiver was heavily involved early, as the Patriots left one-on-one coverage on him for most of the evening, but Darrelle Revis picked up his game, and limited Wayne after a big first half. Still, Wayne finished with 91 yards on the day and reminded us that he's still capable of big moments, especially given Andrew Luck's affinity for him on third downs. Wayne doesn't get the separation he once did, but his hands are still fantastic and Luck can fit the ball into tight windows.
2014 Week 12 vs JAX (9 / 3 / 10 / 0 rec)
One of the most disappointing days of the season for the veteran receiver came against largely single coverage on Sunday. Wayne was the Colts most targeted receiver, but a few of those were blatant attempts late in the game to get him to three catches (and extend his NFL-record 81-game streak of three catches or more). Wayne is quite obviously a step slower than last year, as injuries and time seem to finally be taking their toll. Wayne should have a few more big moments in him, but they will be few and far between.
Latest NewsColts | Reggie Wayne in decline (Mon Nov 24, 11:25 AM) - Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne is showing visible signs of a decline, in the opinion of beat writer Stephen Holder. The team tried to stretch the field with him Sunday, Nov. 23, but the ball was routinely out of his reach. Our View: Wayne certainly isn't the same player he used to be. Even in a sweet matchup against a weak defense like Jacksonville, Wayne wasn't able to produce. This passing game can be robust, but the top wide receiver in the unit is TY Hilton.

Our View: Wayne has been getting a healthy amount of targets lately, and the last two games he has managed to turn that into receptions and yards. We like Wayne as a solid WR2 against a suspect Jacksonville defense and with Ahmad Bradshaw out.
