Week 7: at Pittsburgh Steelers

All WR vs PIT

Mark and Joe say: Great matchup. Tom Brady has smashed both Cleveland's (28/40 for 406 yards passing, three TDs and zero interceptions) and Cincinnati's (29/35 for 376 yards passing, three TDs and zero interceptions thrown) secondary so far during his 2016 revenge tour - over the last two weeks four players have seen double-digit targets from Brady: Julian Edeman (17 targets for 9/65/0 receiving); Rob Gronkowski (16 for 12/271/1); Martellus Bennett (13 for 11/115/3) and James White (15 for 12/110/2). Chris Hogan has made a lot happen with his six targets - 5/153/0 receiving, a 30.6 yards-per-catch average. It's all good for the Patriots in this phase of the game. The Steelers' secondary limited Ryan Tannehill to 24/32 for 252 yards passing with zero TDs, interceptions or sacks generated last week (the Dolphins had three rushing scores and 222 yards rushing, though). Ryan Fitzpatrick had 25/38 for 244 net yards passing, one TD and zero interceptions thrown, with three sacks taken for -11 yards two weeks ago. Over the past three weeks, Pittsburgh has averaged 17.4 fantasy points allowed per game to opposing quarterbacks (sixth-least in the NFL); and 21.8 fantasy points per game allowed to wide receivers (14th-least); with 7.4 fantasy points given up per game to tight ends (16th in the league). So far this season, Pittsburgh averages 293.7 net passing yards allowed per game (30th in the NFL) with six passing scores given out vs. just three interceptions and a mere eight sacks generated (near the bottom of the league in both the latter categories). They have improved in October, but this remains a suspect group. This is a great matchup for the Patriots' juggernaut.
