Summary

Watt's pro career opened with a 2 sack week one performance against Cleveland last year. After that he was hit or miss the rest of the way. Watt finished with 7 sacks on the season, which is rather respectable for a rookie at the position and more than enough to fuel expectations for the future. If he is to have much fantasy value Watt will need to become more consistent. In two games versus Cleveland he totaled 12 tackles 3 assists and 3 sacks. Four other strong outings added up to 17 tackles, 3 assists and four sacks. In his other eight games as a rookie Watt combined for 11 tackles, 6 assists and no sacks. It is worth mention that his brother J.J. Watt started his career in similar fashion going 49-7-5.5 as a rookie before blowing up for over 20 sacks in year two. (August 4)
