Simply put, J.J. Watt is one of the most transcendent defensive players in the NFL. In his second year in the league, Watt posted an incredible 20.5 sacks and 16 pass deflections while winning the Defensive Player of the Year award. Dealing with more attention in 2013, Watt was still outstanding with 10.5 sacks and another 7 deflections. Watt shows incredible athleticism for his size (6-6, 290 lbs) and is virtually unblockable without a double or triple team. The Texans drafted Jadeveon Clowney with the first pick in the draft to try to take some of the attention off of Watt. If teams go back to trying to block him with one blocker he could have another monster season like 2012. Watt will be working under a new defensive coordinator in 2014 with Romeo Crennel in town. Texans | Opinion: Andre Johnson won't be traded (Fri Jul 11, 09:52 AM) - Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson 'is not going to be traded,' in the opinion to John McClain. Houston wants to avoid giving Johnson the $1 million workout bonus that he passed up by not participating in offseason activities or guarantee his 2015 salary. They don't want to create a precedent that can be manipulated by DE J.J. Watt's agent in the future. McClain said that 'Any 33-year-old ... anybody doesn't walk away from' the $10 million that Houston owes Johnson.

Our View: McClain is the best beat writer for the Texans, so we trust his word. In the immortal words of Nick Saban "this ain't fantasy football." It sounds great to put Johnson with the Browns or the Seahawks (or any other team), but the reality is we're unlikely to see the veteran receiver moved. He's frustrated with the team's lack of direction offensively and their rag-tag group of quarterbacks. We can't blame him for the way he feels, but at the end of the day he'll get over it.
