Summary

While J.J. Watt has disappointed fantasy owners the last two seasons due to injuries, there's a clear path for him to still be one of the top defensive ends in the game. His back appeared to be holding up well when a freak broken leg injury ended his season in week five of last year. Watt has remained positive in spite of his trials, stating, "I look at it one of two ways: You can either sulk -- you can whine, you can complain -- or you can move forward and you can have optimism, and you can move forward with excitement. And, that's what I'm doing." The other supporting cast members of the unit (such as Jadeveon Clowney, D.J. Reader, and Whitney Mercilus) that also generate pressure and help Watt to be successful remain intact. If Watt can remain healthy, 50 total tackles and double digit sacks are once again a possibility. (May 15)

Latest News

Texans | Four Texans sitting out OTAs (Tue May 22, 02:47 PM) - Houston Texans LB Jadeveon Clowney (knee), DE J.J. Watt (leg), RB D'Onta Foreman (Achilles') and DE Joel Heath (knee) did not participate in organized team activities Tuesday, May 22.

Our View: Foreman is going to push Lamar Miller for the starting job...eventually. Right now, he's still recovering from his Achilles' injury. The team remains hopeful he will be cleared in time for training camp.
