Wake has been a tough player to figure out. He is one of the best pass rushers in the league, but will often go long stretches without getting to the QB or making much of an impact in run support. The addition of Ndamukong Suh last year was expected to free him up more than ever, but he got off to a slow start with just 1 assisted tackle over the first 4 games. He exploded for 7 sacks over his next 3 games, but unfortunately suffered a torn Achilles and saw his season come to an early end. At 34 year of age, it's reasonable to think he won't be the same after an injury that severe, but early reports this offseason have been positive and the team signed him to a 2-year extension. Given the scarcity at the position, Wake should be considered a DE2 with upside in big-play scoring systems. (May 27)

Dolphins | Cameron Wake ahead of schedule (Fri May 20, 09:42 PM) - Miami Dolphins DE Cameron Wake (Achilles') has exceeded expectations in terms of where doctors thought he would be at in his recovery, executive vice president of football operations Mike Tannenbaum said Friday, May 20.

Our View: Earlier this month, the Dolphins gave Wake a two-year, $15 million extension and that was a big sign of what they think of his recovery. He'll be a situational player for the Dolphins at this point of his career.
