Trevathan is recovering from a ruptured patellar tendon suffered in November and might not be ready for training camp according to defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. It is possible that he could begin the season on the PUP list.

Summary

Trevathan is one of the best run defending linebackers in the league, but his health status is up in the air after he suffered a torn patellar tendon last year. There are concerns that he may not be cleared in time for training camp, and he may not be 100% even if he's able to play in week 1. When healthy, however, he has proven himself to be a reliably productive fantasy option. The presence of Jerrell Freeman alongside him probably limits him to a LB3, but he's still a capable starter in most balanced scoring systems. (June 5)
