Trevathan was carted off the practice with a left leg injury in practice on Tuesday, August 12. Trevathan told Josina Anderson: "They told me that my ACL and MCL are fine, but that I have a fracture in my knee. The doctor told me I was going to be out four to eight weeks, but I told him four to six." He could miss as many as three games, but the Broncos have a Week 4 bye, so that is likely the most unless he has a setback in his recovery.

Trevathan said he'd be at around 75 percent for practice next Tuesday after the bye week, and his goal is to play in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Our View: Getting Trevathan back will be a boost for the Broncos offense. He's one of the best weak-side linebackers in the game, and Trevathan excels in coverage.
