TE Logan Thomas - Detroit Lions
|6-6, 248||Born: 7-1-1991||College: Virginia Tech||Drafted: Round 4, pick 2014|
2019 Week 12 vs WAS (2 / 2 / 24 / 1 rec)
Logan Thomas caught a touchdown pass on a play-action corner route in the red zone. He added a reception on a crossing route later in the game. He has been an ancillary option in the Detroit option and would be nothing more than a desperation play against the Bears on Thanksgiving.
2017 Week 7 vs TB (1 / 1 / 22 / 1 rec)
Logan Thomas caught his lone target a 22-yard touchdown pass on a wheel route. Thomas got the benefit of a rub off the line of scrimmage which created separation on the route. His snap count rose because of Charles Clay's injury, but he was a minor piece to the offensive game plan.
2014 Week 5 vs DEN (0 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Thomas looked every bit the rookie playing his first professional regular season snaps that he was. Coming in midway through the third quarter, Thomas rushed his reads, was sloppy with his footwork and clearly was uncomfortable in the pocket, but none of that is surprising. Thomas did have his first touchdown, threading a perfect pass to Andre Ellington on a wheel-route for an 81-yard catch and run. There is potential for Thomas, but he's clearly not ready and still requires a lot of refinement. That said, despite pregame optimism that Carson Palmer could be back as early as next week, if he's not ready to go, Stanton's uncertain health means its likely Thomas will get the start at home against Washington. Something worth keeping an eye on throughout the week when factoring the fantasy value of The Cardinals skill position players next week.
