Recent Game Summaries

2019 Week 5 vs NE (4 / 21 / 0 rush, 7 / 5 / 17 / 0 rec - 8.8 points, $4600)

Chris Thompson had a total of nine touches in this game with four of them coming on the ground. He was held in check as his touches accumulated a total of forty yards. As drives stalled and they were behind on downs, the Patriots keyed on him and didn't allow for ay conversions. It was difficult to find success behind an O-line that was being beat at the point of attack all game as well.

2019 Week 4 vs NYG (4 / 4 / 0 rush, 5 / 4 / 56 / 0 rec - 10 points, $4500)

Chris Thompson was the most productive player on offense as he had a combined eight touches totaling sixty yards. His fifty-six receiving yards paced all receivers as well. The offense only managed three points for the entire game and Chris' contributions were minimized by bad quarterback play.

2019 Week 3 vs CHI (7 / 29 / 0 rush, 5 / 4 / 79 / 0 rec - 14.8 points, $4500)

Chris Thompson had his most productive game of the year, as he totaled eleven touches for over a hundred yards. He was second on the team in receiving yardage as he picked up a few chunk plays out of the backfield. His seven carries, including two goal-line were higher than usual. That can be partly attributed to his higher on-field percentage while the team was in catch-up mode. He is a better fit for the Washington offense but as a smaller back, Washington must be careful with how many touches he receives.

2019 Week 2 vs DAL (2 / 3 / 0 rush, 8 / 5 / 48 / 0 rec - 10.1 points, $3900)

Chris Thompson tied for the most receptions in this game with five. The receptions didn't come with much yardage, but he was very involved in this game as Washington played from behind. Chris also got two carries but only resulted in three yards. He had eight targets on the day and Chris' big play ability will pay off as long as he stays involved.

2019 Week 1 vs PHI (3 / 10 / 0 rush, 10 / 7 / 68 / 0 rec - 14.8 points, $3500)

Chris Thompson was busy in this game as he tallied seven receptions. His seven receptions lead the team as well. As it became clear Washington wasn't going to be able to establish the run, Chris' role grew in this game. He added three carries, but they only totaled ten yards. None of Chris' work in this game was game changing or made much impact as a few catches came in garbage time. Chris will have better days as it is clear he will be the definitive backup to Derrius. His passing game role will continue to be a vital piece to the Washington offense.

Redskins | Chris Thompson injures foot (Sun Oct 13, 03:52 PM) - Washington Redskins RB Chris Thompson (foot) suffered a foot injury during the Week 6 game and is considered questionable to return.

Our View: Thompson wasn't his normal reliable PPR play because of the injury and the team being able to establish the run while playing with a lead. Once Thompson gets hurt, he's generally not trustworthy. He can be dropped in short bench leagues.

Redskins | Chris Thompson totals nine touches (Sun Oct 6, 05:34 PM) - Washington Redskins RB Chris Thompson rushed four times for 21 yards in Week 5 against the New England Patriots and he added five receptions for 17 yards on his seven targets.
