Week 12: at Chicago Bears
Mark and Joe say: Tough matchup. Charles Sims has been handling more carries of the football over the last two games, but his results are still fairly unimpressive, with 13/36/0 rushing and 3/8/0 receiving at Washington last week representing his season-best effort so far. Bobby Rainey (5/4/0 rushing with 1/0/0 receiving last week; 6/14/0 rushing with 4/42/0 receiving two games ago) has fallen by the wayside as the Buccaneers get more experience for Sims here in November. The Bears' rush D is currently 15th in the NFL averaging 110.9 yards allowed per game, with five rushing scores given out to date. They have coughed up 16/96/0 rushing and 32/132/0 rushing to their last two opponents, Minnesota and Green Bay (114 rushing yards allowed per game on average over the last two weeks). This is a mediocre rush D any way you slice it. Sims and friends have to visit partisan Soldier Field this week - advantage, Chicago.
