The Oakland Raiders placed WR Rod Streater (foot) on the Reserve/Injured list Thursday, Oct. 2, with a designation to return.

Week 8: at Cleveland Browns

Mark and Joe say: Neutral matchup. Derek Carr flamed out vs. Arizona (16/28 for 173 yards passing, zero TDs or interceptions, with only one sack taken for -9 yards), after his strong game against the Chargers two weeks ago (18/34 for 282 yards passing, four TDs and one interception thrown). It was a disappointing outing against the then last-ranked pass D in the land (the Cardinals moved up to 31st in the NFL vs. opposing passers after Carr's egg-laying performance). Top targets James Jones (eight targets for 4/35/0) and Andre Holmes (five for 3/34/0) were still at the top of the pecking order for targets (though Darren McFadden averaged under two yards per catch on his eight chances, with 4/7/0 receiving to his 'credit'). It was an entirely forgettable performance on a day when Carr should have excelled. The Browns' pass D is a middlin' unit this season, averaging 241.5 net passing yards allowed per game (17th in the NFL), with nine passing scores given up vs. seven interceptions (tied-eighth in the NFL) and 12 sacks (tied-21st) generated to date. They allowed just 17/31 for 151 net yards, one TD and three interceptions to Blake Bortles last week (two sacks for -8 yards); Ben Roethlisberger posted 21/42 for 221 net yards, one TD and one interception thrown, with two sacks taken for -7 yards, two games ago. Carr has been way up and way down over the past two weeks - he has a neutral matchup ahead of him at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland.
