The Oakland Raiders placed WR Rod Streater (foot) on the Reserve/Injured list Thursday, Oct. 2, with a designation to return.

Week 9: at Seattle Seahawks

Mark and Joe say: Neutral matchup. The Raiders' rushing attack is 32nd in the NFL this year, so if they want to move the football Derek Carr has to do the honors - he bounced back from a sad 16/28 for 173 yards passing, zero TDs and zero interceptions (with one sack taken for -9 yards) performance vs Arizona two games ago to throw 34/54 for 328 yards passing, one TD and zero interceptions at Cleveland last week (three sacks taken for -12 yards). As has become usual, James Jones led the team in targets (11 for 6/62/0 receiving), while Andre Holmes handled the TD (seven for 5/69/1). Mychal Rivera led the team in receiving (nine for 7/83/0), and Kenbrell Thompkins posted eight for 4/34/0 receiving. The Raiders haven't won yet this year, but Carr is holding up his end for the team. The Seahawks' pass D isn't the feared unit it was last season, currently ranking 10th in the NFL averaging 226.6 net yards allowed per game, but with 12 pass TDs handed out vs. a mere three interceptions generated (tied for next-to-last in the NFL). The unit's 10 sacks is tied for 26th in the NFL - Cam Newton was dumped three times for -12 yards last week, though, with 12/22 for 152 net yards passing, zero TDs and one interception thrown (but Carolina is rebuilding their receiving corps this year and don't have much behind rookie Kelvin Benjamin). Austin Davis wasn't sacked at all two games back and threw two TDs vs. zero interceptions on the way to upsetting the Seahawks (18/21 for 173 net yards passing). Carr has a tough venue to visit, but even given the formidable 12th-man in CenturyLink Stadium we think this is a neutral matchup for the Raiders. Also, the rushing matchup is bad as noted above, so Carr will likely throw the ball a good bit in this one.
