Recent Game Summaries

2016 Week 17 vs SEA (1 / 1 / 5 / 0 rec)

Streater caught a 5-yard pass in the first quarter, but it was nullified by an illegal shift penalty. His only official target came midway through the second quarter. Safety Kam Chancellor lined up against him at the snap, but dropped into zone coverage. Streater sat down in said down and hauled in an easy 5-yard completion. Of note: His disappearing act had nothing to do with Richard Sherman, as Streater only lined up against him three times all game, but all three were running plays.

2016 Week 16 vs LA (7 / 6 / 63 / 1 rec)

Streater made the most of his opportunity to start in place of the newly IR'ed Quinton Patton. His first target was on a 3rd-down shallow crossing route through the Rams' zone that produced a tough 8-yard catch in traffic and a first down. His second target was also a shallow crossing route that should have also converted on 3rd down, but Colin Kaepernick threw the ball too far behind him. Accuracy wasn't an issue on Streater's next target, as his deep out route beat the Rams' Cover-2 and Kaepernick's sideline pass was perfectly thrown between the cornerback and safety. From here, the rest of Streater's targets came with Los Angeles playing soft coverage while nursing their fourth-quarter lead. In this span, he had 4 receptions for 38 yards and the game-winning touchdown. On the touchdown, Streater's slant route came open immediately against E.J. Gaines's off-man coverage, Kaepernick hit him in stride, which prevented Gaines from being able to tackle Streater before he reached the end zone.

2016 Week 13 vs CHI (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)

Streater's lone target came on a not-quick slant from the slot on San Francisco's fourth play of the game. Colin Kaepernick's throw was low, but catchable. It fell incomplete because the 49ers' powers-that-be chose to prepare for a game played in wind and snow by vacationing at Disney World.

2016 Week 12 vs MIA (5 / 4 / 46 / 0 rec)

Streater saw a sharp increase in snaps after Quinton Patton got concussed early in the third quarter. Unlike Patton, Streater was able to find repeated success against Miami's man-to-man coverage. One of his receptions was a bubble screen on 3rd-and-13, but the other three were all a result of beating defenders one on one. His first catch, a 25-yarder came on a quick slant against Bobby McCain. He beat McCain inside and then broke his tackle to get into wide open space. Streater's final two receptions involved him operating out of the slot against linebackers Neville Hewitt and Jelani Jenkins in primary coverage.
