Week 7: vs Houston Texans
All RB vs HOU
Mark and Joe say: Good matchup. Devontae Booker will be given more opportunities after providing a spark for the team in recent weeks, according to head coach Gary Kubiak on Monday, October 17. Booker led the team in rushing vs. San Diego last Thursday night, with 5/46/0 to his credit (two targets for 2/7/0 receiving), while C.J. Anderson struggled to 10/37/0 rushing (five targets for 4/34/0 receiving). It sounds like a running back by committee could be on the day in Denver - we'll see how things play out in this Monday Night faceoff with last year's part-time starting quarterback, Brock Osweiler, and the Texans' defense.
Speaking of the Houston defense - they are currently ranked 29th in the NFL averaging 126.3 rushing yards allowed per game, with eight rushing scores handed out so far. Last week, Indianapolis ran all over the defensive front for 32/161/1 - Minnesota posted 37/96/1 rushing against the Texans two weeks ago. From Week Four to Week Six of regular season (the last three weeks), Houston averages 19.6 fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs per game (14th-most in the NFL).
This is a good matchup for the two-headed monster that Denver is bringing to the party.
