Week 12: vs Miami Dolphins
Mark and Joe say: Tough matchup. Denver only attempted 10 rushes last week while being surprised by the Rams' attack (and in the unfamiliar position of being in chase mode behind in a game for once) - what we saw was C.J. Anderson handling nine of the ten carries (9/29/0) and eight receptions for 86 yards, while Montee Ball saw a couple of opportunities but quickly aggravated his groin injury - Ball is expected to be out 2-3 more weeks due to his latest groin woes. Anderson is going to be the lead back for the Broncos during the stretch run into the playoffs, as Ronnie Hillman is also out for more weeks due to his injured foot. Juwan Thompson will mix in during games when there are more than 10 carries executed by the offense. The Miami rush D is pretty stout this season, averaging just 94.5 yards allowed per game, with a mere four rushing scores given up to date (tied for second-least rushing TDs given up this season). Buffalo managed 19/54/0 rushing at Miami last week; Detroit had 19/63/0 rushing against them two weeks ago. This is a tough matchup for the Denver backup running backs.
Latest NewsBroncos | Make two roster moves (Sat Nov 22, 02:01 PM) - The Denver Broncos signed RB Jeremy Stewart to the active roster and waived RB Kapri Bibbs Saturday, Nov. 22. Our View: Bibbs was a fan favorite because of his standout 2013 season for Colorado State (1,700+ yards rushing, 31 TDs). He might find a spot on the team's practice squad if he passes through waivers unclaimed. Bibbs was drawing interest from the Bills earlier this year, and that's why the Broncos moved him up to the active roster.

Our View: We like what we've seen from Bibbs in the preseason. He runs with outstanding balance, and Bibbs certainly has a nose for the end zone. Bibbs is one of three RBs in FBS history who rushed for 30 or more TDs in a single season (Barry Sanders, Montee Ball). He drew favorable reviews as a receiver out of the backfield from our own Cecil Lammey out at Broncos training camp too.
