Week 7: vs Indianapolis Colts
All QB vs IND
Mark and Joe say: Great matchup. Marcus Mariota comes into this contest on a hot streak - he's thrown three TDs in each of his last two games, and had a rushing TD to go with his three thrown TDs two weeks ago against Miami - Mariota has rushed seven times in each of the last two games and gained at least 60 yards in each. Against Cleveland last week Mariota had 17/24 for 284 yards passing, three TDs and one interception thrown, with 7/64/0 rushing to boot. Mariota has spread out the wealth during that two week hot streak, targeting Kendall Wright (10 for 9/142/1) and Delanie Walker (10 for 6/87/1) the most, followed by Demarco Murray (eight for 5/16/0), Rishard Matthews (seven for 7/102/2) and Tajae Sharpe (seven for 2/17/0). Sharpe was called out as regressing by head coach Mike Mularkey on Monday, October 17.
The Colts' pass defense gave up 25/39 for 256 net yards passing, two TDs and one interception thrown, with one sack generated for -13 yards, to Brock Osweiler last Sunday night. Two weeks ago Brian Hoyer threw 33/43 for 397 yards passing, two TDs and zero interceptions with zero sacks taken against the Colts. This defense is reeling backwards out of control right now, friends. From Week Four to Week Six of the 2016 season (over the last three weeks), Indianapolis has averaged 25.3 fantasy points allowed per game to opposing quarterbacks (sixth-most in the NFL); and 24 fantasy points per game allowed to wide receivers (16th in the league); with 8.7 fantasy points given up per game to tight ends (seventh-most).
This is a great matchup for the red-hot Mariota.
