Week 4: at Seattle Seahawks
All RB vs SEA
Mark and Joe say: Bad matchup. The Lions' backs have flamed out during September - Detroit is dead last in the NFL with 135 yards rushing, total, over the first three games of the season. Joique Bell averages 1.1 yards per carry so far (20/22/1 rushing with 5/41/0 receiving) - he's clearly limited this year. Ameer Abdullah is the best of a bad fantasy lot (21/82/1 rushing with 7/72/1 receiving so far) but has seen few opportunities in the last two weeks - last week, the Lions attempted just 19 rushes and reaped a mere 28 yards on the ground, though Bell did manage a TD (10/6/1), as did Abdullah (8/23/0 rushing with 2/19/1 receiving). We'll see if the Lions can pick it up in this phase of the game now that Denver's top-ten rush D is in the rear-view mirror.
The Seahawks just crushed an injury-riddled Chicago team 26-0 last week, giving up 20/74/0 rushing to Matt Forte and holding the team to 27/98/0 rushing during the debacle. To date, Seattle averages 100.3 rushing yards allowed per game (17th in the NFL) with just two rushing scores given out. Two weeks ago, Green Bay had 27/129/0 rushing as a team against this group.
This looks like a terrible matchup for the struggling Lions' crew.
