Recent Game Summaries

2016 Week 15 vs NYJ (4 / 4 / 31 / 2 rec)

Dion Sims caught four passes for 31 yards and two touchdowns on four targets. It was Sims fourth touchdown in his last four games, and he's filled in very well for Jordan Cameron, perhaps performing better than even Cameron did as the starting tight end. Sims is not being asked to do too much, but when his number is called he is getting open and making catches, something that Cameron struggled to do at times. Both of his touchdown catches came from the one yard line, and all Sims had to do was run his route away from the flow of the play, finding himself open both times in the back of the end zone. His best play came on a 26 yard catch that set up his second touchdown catch. Sims ran a deep fade route from the Jets 29 yard line and Moore threw a high arching ball that led Sims toward the left sideline. Sims beat his defender down the field and secured the catch before breaking a tackle and meeting another Jets defender head on at the four yard line. Sims kept his legs driving and refused to go down, bouncing up twice off his defender and extending the ball just outside the goal line. He was rewarded two plays later by Moore, who found him wide open in the back of the end zone for his second touchdown catch.

2016 Week 4 vs CIN (2 / 1 / 9 / 0 rec)

Dion Sims was Jordan Cameron's replacement, and caught only one of three targets for nine yards. Cameron's timetable for a return is uncertain as of right now, but he is does have a history of concussion so it would not be surprising to see him held out of several games as he goes through the leagues concussion protocol.
