Quick fantasy outlook: Jabaal Sheard was a defensive end in the previous 4-3 scheme, who will attempt the move to outside linebacker in the new 3-4. He should do well against the run and has the ability to get pressure on the passer, but may not be the long term answer at the position. Sheard will be in the mix for playing time and is likely to a great deal of action on early downs in particular, but the additions of free agent Paul Kruger and first round pick Barkevious Mingo could point toward a part time role for Sheard. As a defensive end he was a solid second starter for most fantasy owners. As an outside linebacker his value will be limited at best.
