Summary

Matt Schaub's very solid career in Houston came to a close this offseason as he was dealt to the Oakland Raiders. Schaub has 3 times surpassed the 4,000 yard mark as a quarterback and was a top ten fantasy quarterback in both 2009 and 2010. Schaub has struggled mightily with interceptions over the past two seasons, throwing 26 in his last 26 games. He lost his starting job midway through 2013 to Case Keenum and from that point it was pretty evident that his time in Houston was over. Schaub has spent his entire career in Houston with elite receiver Andre Johnson, now he'll head to Oakland where the best option in the passing game is James Jones. Schaub struggled mightily under pressure in 2013 and he'll be working in Oakland behind a reworked offensive line. (May 4)

Raiders | Matt Schaub learning, getting better (Mon Jul 14, 04:12 PM) - Oakland Raiders QB Matt Schaub is doing what it takes to get better, according to CB Charles Woodson. Woodson said Schaub has been talking with defensive coordinator Jason Tarver after practice, which tells Woodson that Schaub knows how to improve. Woodson added that the team expects big things from him this season.

Our View: Schaub is a seasoned veteran who is likely to begin the season as the starter for the Raiders. Rookie Derek Carr may eventually take over for Schaub as he's seen as the QB of the future. We're not wowed by much of anything from the Raiders passing game in 2014. Their WR1 James Jones has a current ADP of WR54 (12.04) in 12-team PPR leagues.
