Week 8: vs Baltimore Ravens
Mark and Joe say: Tough matchup. Without A.J. Green in the lineup, the Bengals offense has sputtered, and last weekend it came to a grinding halt, producing just 18/38 for 126 yards passing for Andy Dalton. Mohamed Sanu led the team with nine targets for 3/54/0 receiving; Jermaine Gresham converted 12 targets into 10/48/0 - and those were the top two receivers last weekend. YUCK! The good news is that Green sounds like he is close to returning - keep an eye on his practice status this week in Footballguys.com's Players in the News. Until Green gets back to menace teams up the field, it looks like the Bengals' passing offense is going to be a bad fantasy call. Stay tuned to this developing personnel situation before inserting any Bengal in your lineup this week. The Ravens are a tough draw with or without Green - they lead the NFL with only 104 points allowed this season, and are ranked 24th in terms of passing yards allowed per game (258.4), with seven passing TDs given up balanced by four interceptions (tied-18th in the NFL) and 15 sacks (tied-16th) generated. Matt Ryan was sacked five times for -42 yards last week on the way to 29/44 for 186 net yards, one TD and zero interceptions; Mike Glennon was dumped five times for -37 yards to get to 24/44 for 277 net yards passing, two TDs and one interception thrown. Cincinnati is second in the NFL with only six sacks allowed to date - they are pass blocking fairly well so far. This looks like a tough matchup for the struggling Bengals' attack.

Recent Game Summaries
2014 Week 5 vs NE (1 / 1 / 5 / 0 rec)
Sanzenbacher only had one target and one catch, on a little screen pass. But even this one opportunity turned out disastrous for Cincy and Sanzenbacher fumbled the ball away on his only reception.
2014 Week 6 vs CAR (5 / 4 / 40 / 0 rec)
Sanzenbacher is another guy that was thrust into a lot of playing time, and like Tate, he performed ok. Sanzenbacher had a big 15 yard 3rd down conversion early in the game on a slant pass. The rest of the game, he had a screen and a few sideline routes and he did a solid job of helping to move the defense. What Sanzenbacher doesn't give you is any big play ability, or any unique skillset that is going to threaten a defense. At this point, the Bengals are using him to help convert on 3rd downs. It's worth noting that Sanzenbacher rarely sees much coverage from the defense, so while AJ is out, he is likely to get 4-5 catches in that possession wr role.
2014 Week 7 vs IND (2 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Sanzenbacher ran around a lot, and never got open. He is not a legit NFL receiver,as he lacks the ability to do much of anything well. His opportunity to get first team snaps has not gone well, and AJ's return will put him back on the bench, if not the inactive list.
