Week 4: at Houston Texans
All RB vs HOU
Mark and Joe say: Neutral matchup. DeMarco Murray has found a happy home in Tennessee this year - he posted 16/114/1 rushing with five targets for 5/41/0 receiving against the Raiders last week, and has amassed 41/245/1 rushing with 19 targets for 17/132/2 receiving so far this year. His sidekick/understudy Derrick Henry has handled 24/88/0rushing with three targets for 3/50/0 receiving so far in a change-of-pace role. It is all good for the Titans in this phase of the game.
The Texans' rush D allowed 39/185/3 rushing to the Patriots last weekend, after the Chiefs were limited to 19/119/0 two games ago. Right now, the rush defense is heading in the wrong direction for Houston - they are now ranked 26th in the NFL averaging 125.7 rushing yards allowed per game, with four rushing scores handed over. Over the first three games Houston averages 17.8 fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs per game (15th-ranked in the NFL). Unfortunately, J.J. Watt has re-injured his back and will be out for an extended period of time, perhaps for the season, and certainly for this game. This obviously degrades the Texans' defense in both phases of the game.
This looks like a neutral matchup for Murray and company. The passing matchup is awful for Marcus Mariota and company, so Murray should see plenty of work in this phase of the game.
