Recent Game Summaries

2014 Week 10 vs CHI (5 / 2 / 10 / 1 rec)

As has been the case for the most part this season, the tight ends were not featured again this week against the Chicago Bears. Which means we are once again left with just a few scraps to glean what we can from Andrew Quarless and the other tight ends. Quarless is a big, physical target and took a pretty big hit from safety Chris Conte, but held on to the ball for a touchdown. Several of the other targets were just a little off, and Quarless was unable to haul them in. While he is a sold receiver, he doesn't have the athleticism to make the really tough catches.

2014 Week 11 vs PHI (2 / 2 / 35 / 0 rec)

Both of Quarless' catches were in the middle of the field. The first was a check down, and on the play, Quarless was in blocking and made a late release down the field. When nobody downfield got open, Aaron Rodgers threw the ball short and Quarless ran the rest of the way for a first down. On the second reception, Quarless released down the middle of the field and nobody picked him up. Rodgers hit him with a quick pass, in stride and Quarless made the catch for the first down.

2014 Week 12 vs MIN (3 / 2 / 50 / 0 rec)

The big tight end made one really nice play on a catch and run in the late second quarter. On the play, Jordy Nelson cleared out the defenders in the intermediate range by running a deep route. Quarless ran his out route in that intermediate area and was wide open. Rodgers delivered the ball, and Quarless did an outstanding job gaining extra yards. First he made one defender miss with a move, then he accelerated again towards the end zone. Two defenders hit him from the side, and he dragged them to the one yard line and almost into the end zone.
