Quarless comes into the 2015 season as the starting tight end for the Packers. He has a lot going for him, specifically playing on a pass happy team with Aaron Rodgers at the helm. At 6'4, 250 lbs, Quarless has a nice blend of size and speed. In his first three years, Quarless has not had many chances to show off his impressive athleticism, but when given the chance, he has made plays. Aaron Rodgers has gone out of his way to praise Quarless this off-season, even going so far as to predict a breakout season. Richard Rodgers is the only player standing in his way, so Quarless has the potential to improve upon last season's lackluster stats (29/323/3). Unfortunately for Quarless, if he were to hold off Richard Rodgers and play the majority of snaps, he would still be the #5 option in the passing game. Currently, Quarless represents a #3 tight end with the upside to be an emergency bye week fill in. (June 16)

Packers | Andrew Quarless joins team (Sat Aug 1, 10:15 AM) - Green Bay Packers TE Andrew Quarless is participating in practice Saturday, Aug. 1, after missing the first two practices of training camp because of a family issue.

Our View: Quarless is going to compete with Richard Rodgers for the starting tight end job. We've got Rodgers winning that battle, so fantasy owners don't have to monitor Quarless unless you play in deep dynasty leagues.

Packers | Andrew Quarless away from camp (Fri Jul 31, 10:09 AM) - Green Bay Packers TE Andrew Quarless was absent from training camp again Friday, July 31, while he tends to a family matter.

Our View: Richard Rodgers could have a chance to assert himself as the top tight end on the roster, but that is going to be a role that is no higher than 5th in the pecking order for Aaron Rodgers.

Packers | No word on Andrew Quarless yet (Thu Jul 30, 05:15 PM) - Green Bay Packers TE Andrew Quarless has not reported to training camp, and the Packers still don't know when he will do so. Head coach Mike McCarthy said Quarless is dealing with a difficult family situation and that he'll be gone as long as he needs to be. Quarless was arrested and charged earlier this month for firing a gun, but that seems to be unrelated to his current situation.

Our View: Fantasy owners will be looking elsewhere for tight end help. With Quarless away, it's just a chance for Richard Rodgers to get more time to showcase his talent.
