Recent Game Summaries

2014 Week 19 vs DAL (4 / 4 / 31 / 1 rec)

Quarless was in the right place at the right time on all four of his catches. On his touchdown, a 4 yard reception in the middle of the first quarter, Quarless was drifting across the back of the end zone, as quarterback Aaron Rodgers was scrambling on a bad leg. The scramble bought Qaurless enough time to shake his coverage, and Rodgers hit him with a perfect pass for the score. The second catch, early in the fourth quarter, saw Rodgers scrambling under pressure again, and spying Quarless squirting out to the right side. Rodgers delivered the ball and Quarless caught it, then turned upfield. He dragged one tackler across the first down line, briefly broke free and was still on his feet when he was pushed out of bounds. Quarless had a solid game, with three of his catches coming on the same drive in the fourth quarter as Green Bay was trying to get ahead of the Cowboys while trailing 21-20. His last reception put the Packers in position for the game-winning touchdown by fellow tight end Richard Rodgers.

2014 Week 20 vs SEA (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)

Quarless was mostly on the field as a blocker, though he did run several routes which didn't get him as open as the Packers needed him to be to risk a throw. On his one target, Quarless couldn't hang onto the ball and dropped what would have been a first down.

Packers | Andrew Quarless looking to improve (Thu Apr 16, 02:10 PM) - Green Bay Packers TE Andrew Quarless said he has been working on improving his game this offseason and believes he can be a productive part of the offense. 'I consider myself the top echelon of tight ends,' Quarless said. 'That's really where I see myself and that's really where I'm trying to take it. A couple other guys like (Rob Gronkowski) and a couple guys who are up there. I put myself in that bracket. That's definitely where I'm training to be.'

Our View: Quarless might be a little too excited about himself. He's athletic and talented, but has yet to show anything like "upper echelon" talent. We think he could be a solid TE2 for fantasy, and his ceiling is capped by the talented receivers on the roster.
