Week 7: at Denver Broncos
All RB vs DEN
Mark and Joe say: Good matchup. Lamar Miller finally found the end zone last weekend, pushing in a rushing and a receiving TD against the Colts (24/149/1 rushing with four targets for 3/29/1) during a 26-24 OT win over the Texans AFC South rivals. This week, the Texans will look to get revenge for their starting quarterback, Brock Osweiler, who was spurned by John Elway and the Broncos during the off-season this past spring. If Miller can keep producing 100+ yards rushing for the Texans (he's done that twice this season, and has had 100+ yards combined four times in six games) it will be easier to notch a 'W' in Denver this weekend.
The Broncos' rush defense is ranked 22nd in the NFL right now, averaging 112.7 yards allowed per game, with six rushing scores handed out to date. Last week, San Diego managed 29/99/0 rushing vs. Denver; two weeks ago the Falcons' backs took Denvers' defense apart, with 32/122/1 rushing and then also six targets for 4/132/1 receiving by Tevin Coleman. From Week Four to Week Six of regular season (the last three weeks), Denver averages 20.2 fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs per game (13th-most in the NFL).
Miller is a good dual-threat back - this looks like a good matchup for him.
