Quick fantasy outlook: Pead barely saw the field as a second-round pick in 2012. Fellow rookie, Daryl Richardson, was the primary backup to Steven Jackson. With Jackson out of the picture, Pead will fight all summer for playing time against Richardson and 2013 rookie, Zac Stacy, in one of the more heated depth chart battles. Pead's NFL resume is limited and his build fits that of a change-of-pace option more than lead back. Pead was also suspended for the first game of the 2013 season, paving the way for another back to impress to open the regular season. With Richardson or Stacy likely to be significant committee members at worst, Pead has an uphill climb in 2013.
