Week 9: at Dallas Cowboys
Mark and Joe say: Neutral matchup. Andre Ellington was THE man for the Cardinals last week, with every single rushing play of the game flowing through his hands (23/71/1 rushing, with six targets for 3/14/0 receiving). Stepfan Taylor suffered a calf injury last Sunday during the third quarter that will keep him sidelined for the next 2-4 weeks - Ellington's new backup will be rookie Marion Grice, who the Cardinals swiped off of the San Diego practice squad earlier this year to replace the banished Jonathan Dwyer. Grice has been with the team since September 22, but is likely to only see a handful of touches as a change-of-pace option behind Ellington.
The Dallas rush D allowed 31/123/2 to the Washington runners on Monday Night Football, coughing up TDs to Alfred Morris and quarterback Colt McCoy during the upset loss. The Giants managed 26/104/0 rushing at Dallas two weeks back - the defensive front is cracking as October goes by, folks. To date, Dallas is ranked 19th in the NFL averaging 114.6 rushing yards allowed per game, with six rushing scores given up so far.
Ellington has a neutral matchup here, traveling to the Cowboys' house on Sunday.
