Week 14: at Tennessee Titans
Mark and Joe say: Good matchup. On Monday, Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak said Trevor Siemian (sprained foot) is doing a 'lot better'. However, Siemian missed last week's game and has yet to test the appendage in practices as of Wednesday morning. Stay tuned to Footballguys.com's Players in the News as the weekend approaches for the latest on Siemian's availability for this game. Paxton Lynch won a game last week (12/24 for 104 yards passing, zero TDs or interceptions, with two sacks taken for -2 yards), but didn't do much for fantasy owners during the care-taking. This is a fluid situation entering mid-week, folks. If Lynch is in, don't bank on any of the Broncos' receivers this weekend. The Titans are ranked 26th in the NFL with an average of 270.3 net passing yards allowed per game, handing out 21 passing scores so far, vs. 11 interceptions and 30 sacks generated (tied for eighth- and seventh-ranked in the NFL, respectively). Two weeks ago, the Titans allowed 28/54 for 316 yards passing, three TDs and two interceptions (with zero sacks) to journeyman Matt Barkley of Chicago. From Week 10 to Week 13 of the 2016 season (over the last four weeks, but includes 10 teams on bye during that time span - each team has at least three games played in the last four weeks), Tennessee has averaged 27.3 fantasy points allowed per game to opposing quarterbacks (most in the NFL); and 35.2 fantasy points per game allowed to wide receivers (most in the NFL); with 4.4 fantasy points given up per game to tight ends (sixth-least). This is not a good pass D, folks. Advantage, Denver, even if they have to go with Lynch.

2016 Week 12 vs KC (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Norwood had a rough day as a punt returner. He muffed a 2nd quarter punt which he recovered on the 2 yard line, putting the Broncos in terrible field position and leading to a safety. He also muffed a punt and lost it in the 4th quarter, simply letting the ball bounce off his face mask. Norwood was targeted deep on a post route to start the 4th quarter, but his defender knocked the ball away as he tried to secure the pass.
2016 Week 10 vs NO (3 / 3 / 18 / 0 rec)
Norwood was not targeted until the 4th quarter. He made a diving catch on his first look from Siemian and fell just short of the goal line. He was targeted 2 plays later on an out route, but was driven out of bounds at the 2 yard line after securing the catch. Norwood's last catch of the game was an out route from the slot position that picked up a 1st down. Norwood also had a solid punt return in the 4th quarter that set the Broncos up on the 50 yard line for their final scoring drive.
2016 Week 9 vs OAK (4 / 2 / 56 / 1 rec)
Norwood caught a beautiful 36 yard touchdown pass from Siemian in the 2nd quarter, lining up in the slot and faking a slant before booking it to the corner of the end zone. Siemian faked a handoff left and rolled out right on a bootleg before loading up the deep throw to Norwood for the score. Norwood had another nice reception down the seam in the 4th quarter for a gain of 20 yards.
2016 Week 8 vs SD (3 / 1 / 9 / 0 rec)
Norwood's only reception was a short crossing route from the right slot for a gain of 9 in the 1st quarter. He let a pass bounce off his hands in the 4th quarter, leading to a San Diego pick-six.
2016 Week 7 vs HOU (2 / 1 / 8 / 0 rec)
Norwood caught a short out route on the left side of the field during an early 3rd down attempt in the 1st quarter. Norwood should have had a touchdown catch at the beginning of the 4th quarter, as he hauled in a beautiful over the shoulder corner route in the end zone, but he seemed unaware of the positioning of his feet and failed to get both of them down in bounds. He also handled punt and kick return duties.
2016 Week 6 vs SD (7 / 5 / 39 / 0 rec)
Norwood got to work early, starting in the slot and catching his first target of the game on Denver's first offensive drive for a short gain that failed to convert a 3rd down. Norwood gathered another pass near the line of scrimmage on the next drive for minimal yardage, then converted 3rd and 8 with a quick slant over the middle. Norwood caught another short out route for a gain of 6 in the 3rd quarter. Norwood reeled in another catch late in the 4th for his biggest gain of the day(11 yards). He handled all punt return duties and stepped in on kickoff returns as well after Cody Latimer left the game with a concussion.
2016 Week 5 vs ATL (3 / 2 / 24 / 0 rec)
Norwood remains entrenched as Denver's punt returner, and saw extensive snaps from the slot as the Broncos went with 4WR and 5WR sets for the majority of the 2nd half. He saw 3 targets and recorded both his catches on the Broncos final scoring drive of the game that ended in a Demaryius Thomas touchdown.
2016 Week 4 vs TB (2 / 2 / 25 / 0 rec)
Norwood secured both of his targets for 25 yards, one each from quarterbacks Siemian and Lynch. He also returned punts.
2016 Week 3 vs CIN (2 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec, 1 / 0 / 0 rush)
Norwood mixed into the third WR slot throughout the day and even lined up once as the tailback on a curious 1st quarter play. Siemian took the snap under center and handed it to Norwood off left tackle, where he was tackled for minimal gain. Norwood could not secure either of his 2 targets on the day.
2016 Week 2 vs IND (4 / 3 / 24 / 0 rec)
Norwood returned punts and worked his way into the receiver rotation by the 2nd quarter. He flashed a nice spin move after his first catch, turning a short out route to the right side of the field into a first down pickup. Norwood finished the day with 24 yards on 3 catches(4 targets total).
2016 Week 1 vs CAR (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Norwood returned two punts, but saw limited offensive snaps and could not secure his lone target, an overthrown out route at the end of the first half.
Latest NewsBroncos | Kalif Raymond to return punts (Sat Dec 3, 09:49 AM) - Denver Broncos WR Kalif Raymond will be the team's punt returner for Week 13's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. WR Jordan Norwood had served in that capacity but muffed two punts in Week 12's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Our View: The rookie from Holy Cross is super fast and super quick. It will be interesting to see if he can give the return game a boost for the Broncos. Head coach Gary Kubiak said Norwood will still be active versus Jacksonville despite the demotion.
