RB Damien Nash - Free Agent
|5-11, 215||Born: 4-14-1982||College: Missouri||Drafted: Round 5, pick|
2006 Week 10 vs OAK (4 / 14 / 0 rush, 0 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Nash was activated off of the practice squad and played on a few series. He carried four times, rushing on two consecutive plays on two drives in each half. He gained seven yards on his first carry, but lost a yard on the next play in the second quarter. Nash's second opportunity came in the third quarter and he picked up four yards two plays in a row. Nash was also supposed to get a goal line carry in the fourth quarter from the four, but the exchange between Plummer and Nash was fumbled (Nash did recover). Nash added a two yard catch in the third quarter but it was negated by a penalty.
2006 Week 11 vs SD (10 / 52 / 0 rush, 5 / 3 / 36 / 0 rec)
Nash saw his first extended action of the season, as he and Mike Bell were the only active halfbacks for Denver. He did well with his touches, gaining 52 yards on the ground and 36 yards through the air. Nash had the longest run of the game for 26 yards early in the second quarter. He appears to fit the Broncos' running scheme well, and could be a solid contributor were he higher on the depth chart.
2006 Week 12 vs KC (4 / 0 / 0 rush, 2 / 1 / 5 / 0 rec)
Rookie Nash did well in his previous game but could find nothing while trying to run against Kansas City. He gained zero yards on four rushes.
2005 Week 17 vs JAX (6 / 32 / 0 rush, 3 / 3 / 14 / 0 rec)
Rookie Damien Nash saw his first action of the season in the second half. In his limited carries, Nash showed determination and some power breaking tackles and carrying defenders. He rushed for 32 yards on six carries. Nash also showed good hands as a receiver catching all three targets for 14 yards.
