Moreno has been activated from the PUP after the original 4-5 week timeframe for recovery from a late June knee surgery. Monitor his early camp performance to see if he suffers any setbacks

Head coach Joe Philbin was recently lauding Knowshon Moreno's "versatility" and "skill-set" (per the Miami Herald), which should give you an indication of how much they want him on the field. Neither Lamar Miller nor Daniel Thomas was consistent for the Dolphins last season, although you can pin some of the blame on the poor blocking. He'll get plenty of opportunity to build on last year's great season. That's the good news. The bad news is, he doesn't have All-World quarterback Peyton Manning clearing defenses out. Moreno also showed up to OTAs a bit overweight according to some reports. Moreno was lackluster at best for the better part of four years in Denver, only to turn it around last season. Can he keep it up? We are a tad dubious, but believe he can be productive in Miami. Pick him up as a shaky RB2 or a solid RB3 and you should be happy. (June 5)

Dolphins | Knowshon Moreno might play (Thu Aug 21, 12:49 AM) - Miami Dolphins RB Knowshon Moreno (knee) said Wednesday, Aug. 20, that he feels good. Dolphins | Knowshon Moreno expected to sit out preseason game (Thu Aug 14, 03:16 PM) - Miami Dolphins RB Knowshon Moreno (knee) is not expected to play in the second preseason game but likely will play in the third preseason game.

Our View: Moreno is working his way back from yet another injury. He has talent as a receiver out of the backfield, and he's a feisty runner when healthy. Another asset that will help Moreno is his ability in pass-protection. He's competing for a reserve role behind starter Lamar Miller.

Dolphins | Knowshon Moreno looking good (Thu Aug 14, 02:15 PM) - Miami Dolphins RB Knowshon Moreno (knee) is starting to look like his old self in the running game, but the team has not decided if he will play in the second preseason game, according to head coach Joe Philbin. Philbin said he is not sure how Moreno would do in the passing game.

Our View: Moreno is a very shaky play this year, but he is getting healthy enough to take a lot of shine off of Lamar Miller as a sleeper pick.

Dolphins | Knowshon Moreno could still start (Mon Aug 11, 09:09 AM) - Miami Dolphins RB Knowshon Moreno (knee) could win the starting running back spot over RB Lamar Miller before the start of the season, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Chris Perkins. Moreno looked much better Monday, Aug. 11, than he did the previous day.

Our View: Moreno did the same thing last year in Denver. If Miller fails to impress during the preseason, the Dolphins could turn to the veteran back as the starter. He's a good receiver out of the backfield, and he's great in pass protection. As a runner, Moreno runs with desire but he's not overly quick, fast or powerful.
