TE Garrett Mills - New England Patriots
|6-2, 232||Born: 10-12-1983||College: Tulsa||Drafted: Round 4, pick|
2010 Week 2 vs DET (1 / 1 / 14 / 0 rec)
Mills (along with Owen Schmitt) saw time (albeit briefly) because of Leonard Weaver's injury and Eldra Buckley's inability to hold onto the ball in Week 1. Mills was targeted once in similar fashion to Schmitt, a la a short dump off pass to the left side of the field. He turned it into 14 yards before running out of bounds (it was the fourth quarter).
2010 Week 3 vs JAX (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Garrett Mills only played briefly in Week 3 against the Jaguars. The second tight end stepped into the lineup in the second quarter when Brent Celek took a hard hit and pulled himself out of the game. Mills was overthrown by Michael Vick down near the goal line where Vick wanted to just get rid of the ball. Mills had no shot to grab his only target of the day.
2010 Week 7 vs TEN (1 / 1 / 5 / 0 rec)
Backup tight end Garrett Mills caught one pass on third and long in the Red Zone for five yards in the second quarter. Mills only saw action when the Eagles were in desperate need of more targets on the field and is not a viable fantasy option.
2008 Week 1 vs GB (4 / 3 / 49 / 0 rec)
Mills looked like a comfortable target for QB Tarvaris Jackson as he pulled in the most yardage of any Vikings player through the air.
2008 Week 3 vs CAR (2 / 1 / 10 / 0 rec)
Mills' only catch of the game came on a third and nine play where he took a screen pass for a 10 yard gain.
2008 Week 5 vs NO (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Mills was the backup tight end and saw one target come his way which he was unable to catch.
