Week 3: vs Kansas City Chiefs

All TE vs KC

FBG says: Neutral matchup. The Chargers passing offense responded in a big way against Miami last week after a slow week one to the season in a tough matchup against Denver. Keenan Allen continues to show that when he is healthy he is one of the best receivers in football as he had 9 receptions for 100 yards last week. The one thing that continues to be encouraging about the Chargers offense is the volume that they're throwing the ball as they threw for 39 Last week, the Chiefs played solid defensively in the first half before allowing Carson Wentz and the Eagles to have a big second half offensively. The Chiefs have struggled so far this year against the pass as Phillip Gaines out of the slot and Terrance Mitchell have both struggled so far this season. The Chiefs on the season have allowed the sixth most passing yards on the year, so this should setup well for Keenan Allen who is a primary slot receiver and Tyrell Williams who will likely see the most coverage from Mitchell on the right side of the field.

Chargers | Week 2 injury report for Chargers (Fri Sep 15, 04:42 PM) - Los Angeles Chargers CB Jason Verrett (knee) and S Rayshawn Jenkins (concussion, shoulder) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 15, and have been ruled out for Week 2. WR Mike Williams (back) was limited during practice but is ruled out. WR Dontrelle Inman (groin), TE Sean McGrath (knee) and DE Jerry Attaochu (hamstring) fully participated in practice but are listed as questionable. OG Kenny Wiggins (ankle) fully participated in practice and is not on the injury report.

Our View: The loss of Verrett helps the case of Jay Cutler and the Miami offense. One of Kenny Stills, Devante Parker and Jarvis Landry will benefit if rookie Desmond King and Trevor Williams aren't up to the task of playing more snaps.
