All WR vs KC
Mark and Joe say: Bad matchup. Tyrod Taylor banged up his shoulder during the loss in New England, so be watching his practice participation later in the week - it's possible we might see E.J. Manuel in this contest due to Taylor's injury. Taylor (20/36 for 233 yards passing, with zero interceptions or TDs, and 4/1/0 rushing) wasn't very effective after his shoulder was injured - this situation looks like it is in flux as of mid-week. Chris Hogan (seven targets for 6/95/0 receiving), Sammy Watkins (six for 3/39/0 receiving) and Robert Woods (nine for 4/44/0) were heavily targeted from the wide receiver position last week, as was LeSean McCoy (10 for 6/41/0) - Charles Clay disappointed fantasy owners again with three for just 1/14/0 receiving.
The Chiefs' pass D is ranked 14th in the NFL averaging 234.8 net yards allowed per game, with 17 passing scores given out vs. 14 interceptions (tied for second-most in the NFL) and 29 sacks (tied for sixth in the NFL) generated to date. They crushed San Diego 33-3 last week, holding Philip Rivers to 19/30 for 149 net yards passing, zero TDs and one interception thrown with three sacks for -29 yards generated. Over the past four weeks (three games), this team is the most stingy team in the NFL with fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks (10.8 on average); second-least in fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends (2.7); and is 12th-least in the league for fantasy points given out to opposing wide receivers (18.9).
This is a bad matchup for either the banged-up Taylor or his backup Manuel.
