WR Glenn Martinez - Houston Texans
|6-2, 183||Born: 11-30-1981||College: Saginaw Valley State||Drafted: ---|
2008 Week 6 vs JAX (3 / 2 / 20 / 0 rec)
Martinez caught two of his three targets for 20 yards, his longest going for 11 yards. Martinez also had a big punt return into Jacksonville territory to set up Denver's second touchdown.
2007 Week 5 vs SD (6 / 6 / 70 / 0 rec)
Martinez benefited by the absence of so many players from the Denver receiving corps. With starter Javon Walker sidelined from the outset and Brandon Stokley and Nate Jackson both leaving during the game due to injuries, Martinez saw the field more than he ever has. He responded by catching every ball thrown his way, but his performance wasn't without its negatives. One, he fumbled the ball away during a reception along the sideline. The play was challenged and overturned to down by contact by officials, but it certainly appeared as if the ball was moving before Martinez's knee was down. Additionally, he made a very animated gesture after one of his fourth quarter receptions, even as the team was losing by over thirty points.
2007 Week 7 vs PIT (2 / 1 / 11 / 0 rec)
Martinez was targeted deep in the end zone but was well covered. His other look was an 11 yard gain.
2007 Week 8 vs GB (3 / 1 / 18 / 0 rec)
Martinez's only catch of the game came in the third quarter.
2007 Week 9 vs DET (4 / 3 / 27 / 0 rec)
Martinez caught three passes for 27 yards. He was hit very hard from behind on his last reception and was very slow to get up. Martinez was in pain and did not return to the game.
2007 Week 10 vs KC (2 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Martinez saw minimal action with a negative yardage punt return and zero catches on two chances.
2007 Week 11 vs TEN (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Martinez's impact came in the punt return game. He returned one for an 80 yard touchdown that put the Broncos offense up by two touchdowns early. It was the first Broncos punt return for a touchdown in four years. Martinez later muffed a punt that led directly to Vince Young's touchdown run.
2007 Week 14 vs KC (3 / 2 / 22 / 0 rec)
In addition to punt and kickoff returns, Martinez was targeted three times and caught two passes. He had one fumble that fortunately for him was recovered by the Broncos.
2005 Week 6 vs CAR (3 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Martinez was not targeted until the final drive of the game for the Lions. He dropped a ball that came to him right on the numbers at the sidelines.
2005 Week 8 vs CHI (1 / 1 / 11 / 0 rec)
Martinez made an 11 yard catch during the second quarter, but it was one yard short of gaining a first down and the Lions were forced to punt.
2005 Week 9 vs MIN (2 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Martinez had two targets in the game but no receptions.
