Week 8: at Houston Texans
All RB vs HOU
Mark and Joe say: Good matchup. Justin Forsett (8/33/0 rushing, with two targets for 2/15/0) is becoming acclimated to Detroit, and he was the top rusher for the team last weekend. Zach Zenner was platooned with Forsett (9/29/1 rushing with two targets for zero receptions) - we look for a shared workload to continue going forwards, even in the event that Dwayne Washington (out with an ankle injury) is able to get on the field this week. Large committees of backs rarely produce good results for fantasy owners.
The Houston rush defense crumbled once again at Denver, allowing a whopping 35/190/2 rushing to the Broncos' backs on Monday Night Football. Indianapolis ran all over the defensive front for 32/161/1 two weeks ago - over the last three weeks, Houston averages 22.2 fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs per game (10th-most in the NFL). They are now 29th in the NFL averaging 135.4 rushing yards allowed per game, with 10 rushing scores given out this season.
This is a good matchup for the Detroit stable, but it is hard to get excited about any particular back in the committee.
