2016 Week 6 vs CAR (3 / 2 / 24 / 0 rec)
Lewis entered the statistical column early, finding space on an intermediate play-action crosser for 15 yards. The rookie showed off impressive open-field agility, weaving through tacklers on a 59-yard punt return late in the first quarter. His second grab of the day came midway through the second quarter, a well-run curl route for nine. Lewis suffered a drop on a third down early in the third quarter, costing his team a chain-moving gain. Lewis flashed as an explosive playmaker, but perhaps hurt the team's confidence with the drop, not seeing another target for the rest of the day.
2016 Week 4 vs SD (1 / 1 / 10 / 0 rec, 1 / 3 / 0 rush)
Lewis' first touch came on a fake sweep pitch, as he followed his blockers to the right sideline for three yards early in the third quarter. Lewis came through in a clutch situation late in the fourth quarter, hauling in a pass that was thrown behind him on third-and-short for nine yards and a first down. His speed is evident, and sure-handed weapons are always valuable in the NFL, making it likely he sticks on the team going forward.
2016 Week 3 vs ATL (4 / 3 / 43 / 0 rec, 1 / 1 / 0 rush)
Lewis' first touch came late in the first half, a convoluted double reverse in which he was lucky to gain one yard. Lewis was targeted again three plays later on a shallow crosser on third-and-long, doing his best to maneuver through the middle but falling short with an eight-yard gain. The rookie ran a short flat route late in the third period, eating up nine yards underneath the defense. He came across the field on a deep PA crosser early in the fourth quarter, picking up 26 yards when the ball feel directly into his hands. Lewis is depth who will need a few injuries to truly emerge.
2016 Week 2 vs NYG (1 / 1 / -1 / 0 rec)
The first catch of Lewis' career was a designed screen to the left flat, but it was poorly blocked for and resulted in a one-yard loss. He is fifth on New Orleans' WR depth chart.
