Week 7: vs Miami Dolphins

All TE vs MIA

FBG says: Good matchup. Josh Allen hasn't been a dynamic passer by any means this season, but he has been just good enough to lead the Bills to a 4-1 start. Allen is a low volume, low upside quarterback option who adds more value with his legs than he does through the air. He has more interceptions than touchdowns (7-to-6) this season and is averaging just fewer than 225 passing yards per game. John Brown is the top wide receiver for the Bills. He has been remarkably consistent with at least 50 receiving yards in all five games, but he has missed out on the end zone in four straight games since his big performance in Week 1. Cole Beasley is a close second in terms of targets behind Brown, but he has seen less consistent target volume and will remain a dink and dunk low-ceiling option out of the slot. Former CFL star Duke Williams saw his first NFL action in their last game, bursting on to the scene as he played just two fewer snaps than John Brown and caught the game-winning touchdown. With the departure of Zay Jones, Williams may carve out more of a full-time role as the third wide receiver here. Quarterbacks are scoring the second-most fantasy points per game when facing what has been a porous Miami secondary this season. One big reason the secondary has struggled, lack of talent aside, has been poor play from the defensive line. Top edge rushers Charles Harris and Avery Moss have led this team down while the pass rush from these linebackers has been non-existent. As a team, they are tied for the fifth-fewest sacks in the league, and this lack of pressure has allowed far too much time for opposing receivers to get open and quarterbacks to find them. Xavien Howard is undoubtedly an extremely talented cornerback, but he is really all this secondary has--and even Howard has struggled this season when healthy. He missed last week's game with a knee injury but expects to return this week. Howard's coverage should make it tougher on John Brown, but overall, the Bills receivers should be set up for success even if they are stuck in the low volume Bills passing offense that may lean on their ground game in this week's contest.

Our View: Singletary didn't get in a full practice this week and the Bills are on bye next week so this is probably good for his rest of season outlook. Frank Gore remains a flex option this week.
