Summary

Kerrigan is coming off a career year in which he garnered 51 solo tackles, 13 assists, and 13.5 sacks which were good enough to place him amongst the top 30 linebackers in balanced scoring leagues. With Brian Orakpo gone in free agency, Washington will look to Kerrigan to be their cornerstone defensive player. There may be some concerns with Orakpo's departure negatively affected Kerrigan's performance, but Kerrigan managed a sack in six of the eight games he played last year without Orakpo. That said, I wouldn't be too concerned with that issue. Look for another top 30-35 season out of the fifth year player out of Purdue. (May 20)

Redskins | Ryan Kerrigan doing well (Thu Jul 2, 01:29 PM) - Washington Redskins LB Ryan Kerrigan (knee) said his rehab from knee surgery is going well and that he has been able to start running. Kerrigan said he is focused on building strength in the surgically repaired knee.

Our View: Kerrigan has become the leader of the Washington pass rush, and with Brian Orakpo gone to Tennessee, he'll be even more important for them this year. He's an LB2 in sack-heavy/big play IDP leagues with enough activity to be relevant in deeper balanced leagues too.
