Jacoby Jones might have been in the running for a second Pro Bowl appearance as a returner had he not lost four games to injury in 2013.
Jones may be losing the punt returner job due to miscues.

Week 9: at Pittsburgh Steelers

Mark and Joe say: Neutral matchup. Joe Flacco didn't play well at Cincinnati, throwing 17/34 for 195 yards passing, zero TDs and two interceptions, with one sack taken for -8 yards. One of his top receivers, Torrey Smith, got his bell rung during the game and though he was cleared of concussion symptoms, Torrey Smith never reeled in a reception throughout the game. Steve Smith saw nine targets but only hauled in 3/35/0 receiving on the day - in fact, backup running back Lorenzo Taliaferro led the Ravens in receiving last week with three targets for 2/42/0. Flacco has been trending downwards since his five-TD explosion three games back - he's thrown two and then zero since - and Crockett Gillmore (two targets for 2/23/0) wasn't explosive in place of the injured Owen Daniels in Gillmore's first NFL opportunity as a starting tight end. A malaise has settled over the Ravens' passing attack entering the second half of the season. Flacco did throw two TDs against Pittsburgh back in Week 2 (21/29 for 166 yards passing, two TDs and zero interceptions thrown, with zero sacks taken). Owen Daniels handled both TDs for Flacco back in September. The Steelers' pass defense runs in the middle of the NFL pack, averaging 250.1 net yards allowed per game (19th in the NFL), with 13 TDs given out vs. six interceptions (tied-17th in the NFL) and 12 sacks (tied-23rd) generated to date. Andrew Luck threw 26/45 for 385 net yards, three TDs and two interceptions at Pittsburgh last week (two sacks taken for -15 yards), while Ryan Fitzpatrick tossed 21/32 for 261 net yards, two TDs and one interception, with one sack taken for -1 yard at Pittsburgh two games back. Both of these teams have headed in the wrong direction of late - this matchup looks about even to us before the AFC North rivals clash on Sunday Night Football.
