After being claimed from waivers just before the season started, Johnson is handling both punt and kick returns for Houston.
Johnson started as the team's punt returner but other players have begun to see opportunities.

Week 16: vs Baltimore Ravens

Mark and Joe say: Bad matchup. The Texans have now lost their top three quarterbacks for the season (Ryan Fitzpatrick, broken leg; Ryan Mallett, shoulder injury; Tom Savage, knee injury), leaving either Thad Lewis, a part-time starter for Buffalo last year, (115/189 for 1,296 yards passing, five TDs and four interceptions during his NFL career so far) or Case Keenum (137/253 for 1,760 yards passing, nine TDs and six interceptions thrown so far over eight appearances with the Texans during 2013) as the starting quarterback this week. Keenum was signed off the St. Louis practice squad (he was cut by Houston during training camp on the final cut-down day, but he has been in Houston, as noted above, and knows their offensive system). Look for either Keenum or Lewis (whichever starts after this week's practices - stay tuned to Footballguys.com's Players in the News for the latest developments at the quarterback position in Houston this week) to face a lot of pass pressure/blitzes as the Ravens will likely dare the journeyman quarterback to beat them by passing the football, and endeavor to shut down running lanes/created pass pressure by stacking the box with eight men often this weekend. When Keenum was in and playing well last season, he favored Andre Johnson heavily - Johnson is said to be expected back from his concussion for this game as of Monday, so if Johnson can go he might get a large number of targets from Keenum (assuming Keenum gets the nod). There is a lot of factors up in the air for Houston as of mid-week, as you can see. The Ravens' pass D is ranked 30th in the NFL in net yards allowed per week (259.9) despite boasting 45 sacks this season (third in the NFL). They've given up 21 passing scores to date vs. just nine interceptions generated (tied for 25th in the NFL). Blake Bortles was sacked eight times for -63 yards last week (throwing 22/38 for 166 net yards, zero TDs and one interception), while two games ago Ryan Tannehill was sacked six times for -41 yards (and eked out 23/33 for 186 net yards passing, one TD and zero interceptions). This is likely to be a bad week for fantasy players from Houston.
